Positive: I had a wonderful stay at the De Karangajah coffee plantation. It feels like a time capsule. The property is very much like it was back in the Dutch colonial times. There are two museums with lots of little interesting exhibits. There is a cafe which serves Indonesian food and very good coffee from 9am to 4.30pm, which you do need to think about if you are staying. I went to have a few days of peace and quiet. However, I discovered that on the weekends there are an awful lot of visitors because locals love to have their photos taken there. It actually was very nice to meet them. I am giving a 10 for the whole experience which was just purely wonderful. The room itself, does need an upgrade. It's quite adequate, and well cleaned. The ceiling fan worked, the hot water was actually hot and plentiful, but the room does need to be brought up to a more modern standard.

Positive: The location is lovely – peaceful, cosy, and full of charm. Set on a coffee plantation, there’s plenty of space to stroll around and enjoy the surroundings. The little museum offers some interesting insights into the area’s history, and the café is warm and inviting, loved the ,vintage’ styling. I loved the place and the relaxed atmosphere. The staff is great. Great hot shower
