Positive: The host is very friendly and kind. The neighbourhood is very quiet, safe and tidy (but Kampen looks incredibly safe in general). There is a nice supermarket nearby. My apartment was spacious, very clean, the bed is very large. The main shopping street is just minutes away. They offer bathrobes and shower caps.

Negative: The pillows were literally huge and very thick. I had to put my head at the very edge, otherwise my neck would hurt.

Positive: A characterful historic building and a very comfortable room. Everything required in the room and very comfortable. Most of all, the owners were both charming, interesting and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful and managed well in terms of accommodating all the guests.

Negative: Nothing to say here - it was great.

Positive: It was a comfortable quaint room in an old building which had been converted to a hotel. I would venture to say no rooms were alike and ours was really like staying in a part of a private house. That said the room was large and comfortable with all facilities a traveler would need. Our hosts were very helpful, arranged parking for us and advised us on local restaurants etc. They provided an excellent and extensive home cooked breakfast, The hotel was very centrally located.

Summary: A comfortable stay in a central location with a helpful owner who also provided a good breakfast.

Positive: First impression was kind of odd being received in the breakfast room and gives the impression one stays/sleeps with the owners. Did not really feel as an hotel. Breakfast was ok, although ample space meaning breakfast timing was strict in order to alternate with other guests. Kind of strange that in order to go to the breakfast room you have to go via the outside/street. Location was ok in the center of Kampen.

Negative: The entry and stairs to the spacious and complete room (very steep stairs), so not really accessible for all.
