The Dock 420 is located in Hammond Oregon, just inside the grounds of Fort Stevens. An original Civil War Fort. The Dock 420 is a 2 Story Home, with Decks that feature Hot Tub, and a Infrared Sauna for 4 people. Tiered gardens are divided by an acoustic courtyard. Ponds and Fountain with Fish. Backing up to Wetland area for further privacy.
The Mooring One and Mooring Two, are both located on the second level. Two separate rooms are being offered for Guest Use. With a Large Full Bath that is shared with other Guest.
A Homemade Breakfast is served daily for Guests. And when possible, we can review a dietary need or plan for most loved foods. If your need is for comfort and relaxation, we might just serve that purpose with; 1500 Thread Count Sheets. Egyptian Cotton Linens. Cozy Blankets, Lovely Pillows, Spa Robes, Spa Towels. In the Full Bath; Large Egyptian Cotton Bath Sheets, Extra Large Bath, Hand and Wash cloths for your use. Along with selected Bath Salts, Shampoo, Conditioner and Lotions. Soaps and Body Wash. Guest Comfort is Our Goal.
We also have a Fishing Boat that we use for our personnel fishing and crabbing. We would be happy to show you the Columbia River and Pacific Ocean. When possible even share our harvest, over dinner, or next morning with breakfast. Spring to Fall is best time for those activities and always... based on the weather conditions.
Arrive to Fresh Flowers, Chocolates by the bedside, Candles all set for a relaxed and romantic setting. Fresh Baked Goodies when you arrive. And a snack tray every evening of your stay.
Deb’s Dock is both Traveling Pet Friendly as well as Marijuana Friendly. Guests wishing to stay with us, Must be 21 years of age or older. Marijuana may be enjoyed anywhere on property.
Sorry, other forms of tobacco are limited to gardens and deck areas.
Pets have been provided with a fenced area for relieving themselves, decks for fun. With the Ft Stevens Parade Grounds just half a block away for fetching. Running. Or the beach!
Deer and Elk are present all the time. Please be sure your dog is restrained from interaction with the herds.
Best times to visit... for less contact with folks... Midweek hands down. Quieter all the way around. Less faces on beaches, trails. Year round this is true.
Times to expect good weather. April through November. It can get chilly at night, or while at the beach. A warm coverup is always appreciated! We also have a deck warmer if needed.
Morning meals times are set for Guests. Sleep in, or up early. We will have your backs.
Holidays we Welcome Guests to join us. Thanksgiving, Christmas New Years, Valentines Day are all Special Seasonal Holidays that are fun to escape away!

Summary: This was certainly a unique and fun experience. Not a typical Vrbo, much more of a bed and breakfast. The two hosts Sam and Deb were extraordinarily nice and welcoming and very attentive. This is a more intimate and social experience, so be prepared for that. Homemade breakfast each morning, fresh crab from the water for dinner. Plus the Astoria area is quite nice.

Summary: I cant say enough about Deb and Sam. Our first bed n breakfast experience was just amazing, to say the least. Debs desire and attention to detail is outstanding. We gained not only memories but a friend. We truly wanted to take her home with us. It was hard to leave. We will be back!

Summary: An oasis of peace, quiet, and fabulous garden space. Host went out of her way to provide a good experience. Our initial VRBO search listed this as 2-bd 2-ba place, but that's not true. And I booked it on that basis. But, it's actually offered as two bedrooms (each rented out separately) on the top level of their home. And the upstairs bathroom is shared by the occupants of the two bedrooms. The listing should be clear that it's 1 bedroom with shared bath for the price indicated.

Summary: Dock 420 is amazing. Deb and Sam are great hosts, very friendly and you get the full welcome wagon between the two sweet doggies, cats and birds. The place is immaculate and all the linens smell amazing. The room was very spacious and breezy, great getaway from the hot dinner days in Portland! The bathroom was well appointed and surprisingly large. Bonus points for having a shower head that's high enough for an over 6'-er, although you do have to watch out for the sloped ceiling in the shower. The yard was also amazing. Lots of greenery, a koi pond and the sound of running water made it super relaxing. I had breakfast out there both mornings and it was a lovely way to start the day. Plus Deb's breakfast is amazing! You'll be set for a full day of adventuring plus she sets you up with snacks and treats! And when you're done with your adventures you can chill out in the seriously giant hot tub. After hiking all day that was a real treat. I didn't end up using the sauna but it also looked fantastic and well maintained. I had an amazing couple days there and l was lucky enough to go out on the river and into the ocean with Sam. We saw dolphins, seals and sea lions, plus a ton of birds! And we even caught some crab! I'm not a sea food fan in general but I think Sam converted to a crab fan today. Would definitely love to go back.
