Positive: This boutique hotel is one of the best hotels we have ever experienced, in the most beautiful setting This Family owned property is an absolute delight; the staff, facilities, decor, services, the, 'Oh Mv Goodness food & wine' is incredible, even the Art work is stunning. Breakfast was excellent value too. No the reception isn't constantly staffed but you are given the owners mobile numbers, (x 2) for anything you need. The beds are also extremely comfortable. We verv much look forward to our return. Yes the immediate local area is undergoing rejuvenation but I have to say that if this is what you are focusing on, then this little corner of Heaven isn't for you in any case.

Positive: The restaurant is a real highlight for this hotel. Really excellent food. The bed was very comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean.

Negative: It is not the fault of the management, but there is a major construction project going on, run by the Government, and the work is noisy, dusty and is impossible to ignore. The workmen are working late and starting early. Once it is finished, I am sure the hotel will benefit from a much improved infrastructure around it. But for now - it's a nightmare.

Positive: The location and the in house restaurant are great! Good fresh food, friendly and helpfull staff, clean hotel with a very nice view on the Mediterranean Sea.

Positive: Deep Blu Boutique is a fantastic little hotel. The staff are all super hospitable and everything in the rooms was spotless and in great condition. The location is beautiful, with stunning views and the restaurant on site was the best we visited in Malta. The location is right at the departure point for the popular Blue Grotto boat trips and is a 2 minute drive from famous archeological sights. Even though its 10-15 mins from nearby towns and the airport, it really feels very remote on this part of coastline. We stayed for 4 nights and explored the island easily from here and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Negative: We visited in April, during the shoulder season, so there was a lot of construction going on in the area, they looked to be making good progress though so should be good in the coming months. I would definitely rent a car if staying here (though buses are available) and I recommend upgrading rooms to Superior if at all possible as the smallest categories are cosy for a multi night stay.

Positive: Staff really took care of us, even though the weather was terrible during Easter week. Homemade breakfasts were excellent and some of the best on our trip. Location is excellent for most of Malta, as long as you have a car. You can get just about anywhere in 30 minutes. Parking was challenging with ongoing construction but we always found space nearby. Excellent area to stay if you want to see the Blue Grotto by boat. The ancient temples are nearby as well. Room was clean, although a bit on the small side. If you can upgrade to a larger room, go for it. It rained our entire four day stay, so we can't rate the hot tub. Everything was really clean.

Negative: My only real complaint is the breakfast room has two sliding doors, which people like to open and close to get into hotel, including deliveries. Since it was cold and raining on our trip, this made for an uncomfortable situation. We actually picked a table away from doors, but the wind caught us anyhow. In the summer, this would not be an issue. Just something to think about. Maybe have breakfast in your room.
