Positive: The chalet is in a fantastic spot—just a short 3-minute walk to the supermarket, 5 minutes to the beach, and 10 minutes to the island’s best restaurants.
Negative: The chalet looks much better in photos than in real life and could really use a deep clean to get rid of the moldy smell and dampness. The kitchen was unusable due to a strong, persistent odor that didn’t go away during my three-week stay. Cleaning and linen changes only happen once a week, and the towels smelled unpleasant because of the humidity. Guests are also expected to buy their own toilet paper, which might be worth noting. That said, after I reached out, the staff kindly provided fresh towels and toilet paper, which I appreciated. The location is very convenient, but the overall upkeep needs improvement to truly match the chalet’s potential. For the same budget, you might find better-maintained options on the island.

Positive: It has excellent facilities (bathroom, kitchen, utensils). Sitting areas, balcony, and I did not need anything; all self-contained. It was private and a decent distance from other properties.
Negative: It could have screens on the sliding doors and windows so I could open the outside world. There were too many mosquitos - so I had to have the air conditioning on constantly. But this is a small item.
Summary: Very good, I would stay again

Positive: Deep dream chalet is a cute little getaway that's quiet and private. It was a little difficult to find- don't expect to be able to find it on google maps- but the host provides helpful instructions on where to go. It's at the back corner of the property, so don't lose hope! If you ask locals for directions, they'll have no idea what you're talking about. Check in was no contact and easy, and the chalet was clean with great air conditioning and a spacious room.
Negative: Unfortunately, when we returned to the property in the evening after a night of dancing, the water was shut off for some reason. By the time we left in the morning, it still hadn't turned on. We messaged the host and they expressed an interest in helping to solve the problem, but the timing was just unfortunate. Even though it wasn't the host's fault and I'm sure the matter could have been resolved, the fact of the matter was we had to leave the next morning without being able to clean off or even brush our teeth. There were also some critters in the bathroom (which is to be expected in Thailand), and we were grateful for the bug killing spray they had on site in the kitchen!
Summary: Overall: nice, clean, private with a helpful host- we just ran into a couple issues during the stay.
