Summary: We loved our stay and loved the accommodations! The owner is there on-site and super nice and helpful but not intrusive at all. Nice parking with a gate so you don't have to fight for parking! We will definitely stay again. I hate hotels!

Summary: My husband and I stayed in this lovely place for 12 days. Great location — a few minutes drive to downtown and walking distance to restaurants, the CVS and Whole Foods. The cottage had everything we needed: full kitchen with ultra-quiet dishwasher, high ceilings and a beautiful huge shower (especially for my six-foot-three husband), lots of closet space and hangers, a CD player so we could play all the music we bought at Waterloo Records, and secure parking. John, the owner, is super friendly and gave us tips about what to see and do in the neighbourhood. A great place to stay.

Summary: The place was very nice. It was clean and spacious. The location was close to downtown. The owner was friendly and helpful. The only thing that was not great was the neighborhood. It is near a soup kitchen which brought in a lot of homeless people. We were safe behind a locked gate however, I did feel uncomfortable at times.

Summary: I came to Austin for a conference downtown and wanted to do some fun things as well. This guest house was perfect. The independence from a hotel was delightful and the house offered all we could need. This is a very urban experience, but that is obvious from the location, and overall it was a refreshing change from home. The local community can look a little daunting with million dollar homes juxtaposed with very modest homes and homeless folks, but this clearly is a rapidly growing community and a place struggling with the growth like many locations. We had no problems, but a car which made an important and very positive difference. Watch out for getting caught in $50/day downtown parking for your event! I would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Summary: We LOVED our time at East 2nd Guest House! We were in Austin for a little over a week and it was the perfect about of space and in a really great location. Really hoping to be back soon!

Summary: Even though we had a rental car ( and there is a secure car port) we wound up walking to both our seminar at the Hilton, and to Whole Foods and restaurants just a few blocks away. Very clean and comfortable.
