Located at the foot of the McGillycuddy Reeks ,Ireland's highest mountain & on the doorstep of Killarney National Park a stay at this excellently situated and well equipped cottage will make your holiday an awesome experience. Absorb the breathtaking views, the wonderful colours of the landscape, the peaceful and tranquil beauty of the countryside, the silence and calm of pure nature! Enjoy quiet walks with magic at every turn in the lanes and on the Kerry Way developed walking trails.Set in a working farm you will find the the cows good company showing their inquisitiveness as they interrupt their grazing to check you out. The people you meet will show you warmth and hospitality and in the words of someone who had the privilage to experience all of this '' time just slipped away''.
Feirm is originally a farm cottage recently updated to present day standards. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, 1 double 1 twin, a shower and toilet, downstairs a twin bedroom with an en suite bathroom to include a low level shower, sitting room with a wood/peat burning stove, kitchen cum dining room. It is suitable for a person with limited mobility or a wheelchair user. Facilities include T.V.,DVD, Radio/CD player, hair dryer,washing machine, tumble drier, the kitchen is fully equipped to include microwave, freezer and dishwasher.Linen and towels are supplied free of charge.Cot and high chair available on request.
Pets are welcome but we do request that guests must bring their own pet bed & pets are not allowed in the bedrooms.

Electricity & oil used for heating are an extra charge ( usual average 30/60 Euro per week depending on the time of year) & are meter read at the end of the stay.

Summary: The house did meet our expectations of a nice house in a beautiful, rough and quit area. A good starting point for a hike. Nevertheless the city of Kenmare and the Ring of Kerry are only half an hour away (by car). The very kind Mrs. O'Neill gave us the very good advise to visit the Island of Valentia, away from the 'official' route of the Ring. It was really beautiful.

Summary: This cottage was absolutely lovely. The location is absolutely gorgeous, and the drive to and from the cottage every day was wonderful. The cottage itself was very clean and cute. We were out exploring most of the days we stayed there, but returning to the cottage every night felt so relaxing and cozy. It was our favorite part of the trip! Lots to do nearby--killarney national park, horseback riding, pubs and shops in kenmare....would highly recommend! Josephine was a great hostess--easy to communicate with and stopped by the cottage to greet us.

Summary: Lovely isolated cottage which has been updated to a high standard. The host is charming and the location is very very quiet, all you can hear are the birds, even the nearby cows do not moo loudly, ideal for a relaxing stay.

Summary: We only stayed for two nights, but the house was very clean. Even though you have to pay extra for Oil and Electricity it was only about 12 euro, so with the lower costs of renting I found this very fair. It was in a great location close to Sneem and to Kelmare. If we come back to the Ring of Kerry area I would book here again. Thank you again for having us. :)

Summary: The cottage is completely on its own in a mountainous landscape, (except for one or two isolated cottages dotted about). It's perfectly situated to explore the Kerry coast and mountains- don't miss the Ballagbeama Gap. There isn't a garden but a gravel surround which you could kick a ball in or sit outside admiring the view. Owner very helpful and responded quickly when the immersion heater broke down. Probably our favourite cottage ever!

Summary: The cottage has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen/utility room and a snug so there was plenty of room for just the two of us. A lot of information about the area was available in the cottage when we arrived. The owner Josephine visited us after we arrived to explain things and to suggest places to eat and visit while we were there. This was great. The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals which was good as the nearest town was around twenty minutes away. Beds were a little hard for us and could have been better. We used this place as a base to visit surrounding areas which worked perfectly for us.
