Positive: It was end of December, so I was very happy with the heating facilities, piping hot water in shower, very, very comfortable bed plus a sofa that opens to small double bed too. Close to beach, apartment on 3rd floor accessed by lift or the wide staircase. Close to shops, restaurants, several hairdressers including a ladies hair salon on the ground floor in same building. I used them for a quick wash & blow-dry and was very happy with the price and result.

Negative: Oven was dirty, but everything else was spotless clean. Sometimes lift not working, but landlord sorts it out very quickly once I texted.

Positive: The bed is super comfortable, apartment very close to the beach and can be seen from the balcony, owner is very quick to respond to requests, fully furnished with clean linen/towels, very close to shops & restaurants, taxi nearby very cheap & fast to central city/marina/shopping malls. I have stayed in this apartment 3 times, it is my first choice always. Cute comfortable easy access to surrounding areas. Beach is sandy with tide is in most of the time. Even large bottle of drinking water provided. Apartment on 3rd floor, but lift available.

Negative: Cleaner does not always deep clean oven, but everywhere else is clean. Lift sometimes out of order on my last stay, but landlord actioned as soon as I texted her.

Positive: Cute modern studio apartment with everything you need for a beach apartment stay. Well equipped and had extras such as bottled water, some toiletries. Close location to sandy beach just a 2 minute walk away and can be seen from apartment balcony. Close to a corner shop, restaurants & ice cream parlours. Good amount of bed linen and towels available. Apartment building has a lift. Owner was flexible with check in & check out time by arrangement and was attentive to any query, always responding quickly.

Negative: The hired cleaner needs to pay more attention to details of cleaning beds and shower screen as well as to the general overall presentation of this cute pretty apartment. A note should state where guests can dispose of rubbish bags (in the big grey metal bin stationed across the street) from the apartment. A small bin next to toilet is needed, as generally the drains do not accommodate toilet paper being flushed down the toilet.

Positive: Although not in the city center, but location is good: close to the sea promenade, many restaurants and cafees, markets and bakeries nearby. Parking: free parking in the street, easy to find a place to park. Good wifi.

Negative: Very complicated communication with the landlord and contact person: we arrived around 22 in the evening, but it was hard to reach them over the phone during the whole day. Only after messaging through booking, the owner somehow got the contact person to call us. No clear instructions about the location of the house, appartment number/floor, or the keys were provided. The building was very dirty, elevator was not working. The apartment walls are not sound proof at all. The apartment was dirty: the cleaning was done very poorly (dirty bathroom floor, hair everywhere, very dirty shower cabin). Towels were washed but still hanging wet. Kitchenware (plates, pots, etc) were not washed at all, some with mold on them, kettle was hardly working. There was no hot water in the kitchen and in the washbasin in the bathroom.

Summary: Good location. Dirty apartment. Poor communication

Positive: The apt itself is nicely adorned and comfortable. The location is pleasant with grocery and restaurants nearby. The sea can be seen and heard from the bedroom. There's a citywide promenade that starts basically at your front door.

Negative: This is a new listing and I'm taking that into account. I arranged an arrival time (admittedly late in the evening) but no one was there to let me in. After my host showed up, I discovered the apt wasn't prepared (no toilet paper, essentials, water, or wifi). I was told they would address the matter the following day at noon. No one showed up. I then began my holiday in town when I received a message asking why I wasn't at the apt. The internet guy was apparently waiting on me. I cut my day short and went back to the apt. This is something the host should be doing, not the guest. Later that evening, my host brought the essentials the apt needed. I understand every new listing has its hiccups. Hopefully future guests will have a smoother arrival. Also, the building is rather run down with dark common areas and thin walls. Not the fault of hosts, but still a matter to consider.
