Smoky Mountain getaways don't come better than this and after a day out exploring this magnificent area of the world, guests can return to their cozy, beautifully crafted yurt.
Destination Outdoors - Summerset Ridge offers a plush queen-size bed draped in soft linens, an inflatable, full sized air mattress, a private deck with amazing views, a kitchen nook which includes a mini fridge and microwave, and access to a shared bath house. The yurt is spacious enough to accommodate three adults and is located on 100 acres of private property to ensure freedom to explore. A separate bathhouse is located in very close proximity to the yurt with a flushing toilet, and hot water for showers. If you're looking to bring additional guests, you can even bring your own tent and set up camp outside of the yurt!

Summary: This yurt was such a fun experience and only 5 min to WCU campus. We enjoyed our stay so much and our son and his friends also came up and enjoyed s’mores, a bonfire, and some pizza. We will definitely be back!

Summary: I was looking for a relaxing, outdoor location to get away and unwind. This place is just that. The property to is huge so there is a lot to explore. From a river, to a beautiful sunset viewing area, I was amazed by the amount of exploration posible. The yurt itself had everything I needed and it was secluded and private. Matt is the reason my stay was better than expected. He was an incredible host, showing parts of the property and being very accommodating. Summary: While we unfortunately stayed during a cold and rainy weekend, the property/ views/location were still great! We were able to hike down to the river and up tot the top of the mountain for some great views. Both steep but doable for non-regular hikers. I will say without the sun the yurt does get chilly so come prepared! However when we were checking out the sun finally came out and it was very comfortable inside. Matt was great and accommodating- let us stay late to enjoy the good weather, loved our pup, and had great suggestions for places to eat! The location was a 10 minute drive down the road from town so you can easily get anything you need. Beautiful views and a cool experience!

Summary: Matt was a wonderful host! The yurt was amazingly clean and comfortable. There is a bed warmer which will be helpful when the nights are colder, a coffee maker, mini-fridge and microwave. The view is outstanding! Matt even invited us to have dinner with him and his son, but we already had plans. Incredible guy and an incredible place he has! We will definitely be back!
