(The motorway link is excellent). The historic walled town of Obidos and the spa town of Caldas da Rainha are 15 minutes drive from the villa. Foz do Arelho (20 mins drive) is located on a beautiful sea water lagoon with excellent beaches and amenities. The famous horseshoe cove beach of Sao Martinho do Porto is just 25 minutes drive. There are 4 golf courses to suit all standards less than 1 hour drive, including Golden Eagle which is just 15 mins.

Summary: Lovely big clean house with big bedrooms and 2 bathrooms Pool was great and views were amazing in quiet village location but within 20 minutes drive of top beaches and Óbidos castle which is a must Only one small issue which was sorted quickly with great communication from Dave & Karen

Summary: Beautiful house, one of the best we've ever stayed on terms of equipment, both for the outside and in the kitchen. There were minor caveats, such as the problems with the boiler and the Sky receiver for the TV, but those were easily overcome with the remote assistance of Dave and Karen who were always available to reply our emails. One major issue which is not their fault but results from the surroundings (from what we were told, it's the combination of large fruit fields and livestock) are the flies. I have never seen so many flies on my life! So, one advice is to take a couple of citronella candles, especially if you plan on doing some barbecues. The pool is great and the sun cover keeps the water warm and clean. All summed up, a great choice for a quiet vacation on the Portuguese countryside.

Summary: Most enjoyable stay. The villa is in a prime location. Its clean and very spacious. Everything you need for a great holiday. Would definitely recommend.

Summary: The property was very clean on arrival and easy to find using the directions provided. There is a beautiful view from the front and the village itself is very quiet. We were able to use the pool but we did have some poor weather in our time there. The house had everything we needed and we used Caldas da Rainha for our shopping because we had been there before and we passed the town on many trips. We visited lots of places, some we had seen before such as Obidos, Batalha and Lisbon and then we went to some smaller towns such as Rio Maior, Golega and Alparcia. The area is easy to get around using the motorways (but you need to factor in tolls) or some of the main roads. We visited three local restaurants too. This is a lovely place for rest and relaxation with the option to visit local towns if you want to. Thank you to Dave and Karen for assisting us very quickly with any queries we had.

Summary: We had a great 2 weeks at the Villa. The owners are brilliant, they answered all my questions very promptly. The Villa is as describe, very clean and comfortable and the pool was a blessing in the 45 degree heat. The villa had all the facilities we required. The location is rural, but tourist stuff is only a short drive away. The Milligan’s have everything setup to make your stay as easy as possible. Thanks again to David and Karen, we will definitely be returning in the future.

Summary: This is our second visit to Rabaceira as we have family who live a short drive away. This house like the previous house was well cared for and had all facilities required. It is an ideal location to visit local attractions such as the market at Santana, Obidos town, various beaches. There is a supermarket fairly close by. The view is amazing and every hour the local church bells play a wonderful tune. We would love to come back!

Summary: Had a wonderful holiday. Villa was perfect for a family. Had everything we needed. The location was remote but was close enough to the motorway to visit nearby attractions and towns. Pool was bonus, we had 35 deg+ weather so was nice to have a cool down. villa was clean and modern and well looked after. Would love to return
