Positive: I loved the authentic industrial character of the apartment--it's clearly a very old building with 12-foot ceilings and renovations that have kept the historical character. The apartment was well-stocked with utensils, dishes, pots and pans, books, games, some toiletries, cleaning supplies, even a paper shredder. There's a window AC unit. Besides a queen-size bed, there was a couch/daybed that was large enough to comfortably sleep on, along with extra sheets and blankets in the closet. Management fixed the issues I reported (the TV wouldn't turn on and the bathroom sink was clogged when I arrived); everything else was in good repair. Despite the glossy surface, the floor has good traction. The room smelled fresh and clean. I felt safe at the building and in the surrounding area. The location is close enough to a major street to be convenient, but far enough away to avoid traffic noise. It's next to Mt Elliot Park, where there are tables and chairs, vending machines and fishing on the pier. There is shopping and restaurants nearby and downtown is only two miles away.
Negative: Having all the information in one email (room number, lockbox code and location, room entry code, instructions for using the security system) would have made check-in a lot easier. But someone did answer the phone and help me with when I called. There was no elevator to the apartment, which was on the third floor.
