Positive: it is great for my family in Athens. This apartment is clear and large for our family with kid. I excellently recommed this apartment for who stay in Athens. The host is friendly. Of course, we also get a nice welcome gift.

Positive: We were the very first guests in this renovated apartment at our stay in february. Needless to say everything was brand new and clean as a whistle. Being the first renters we experienced some details that could have been better, just because this was the first time the host rented out this apartment. But these were just that, details, and nothing that had any negative impact on our stay whatsoever. In fact, this stay felt almost like staying at a hotel, except that we had to make our own breakfast. :-) A great welcome by the host, easy check-in with a quick tour of the premises, including the very nice garden. The host provided very much appreciated welcome basket with both eatables and local souvenirs. Spacious apartment with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms worked well for the 5 of us, giving the youths some privacy when needed (appreciated own tv's in their rooms ;-) ). The location is a very good starting point for experiencing everything the city has to offer. The apartment is about midway between two metro stations, and although one could always want to be closer the 1,1 km (Sygrou-Fix) and the 800 m (Petralona) this is probably a reasonable walking distance for most people. And if you enjoy walking there should be no problem discovering the city on foot, we actually walked to the Hellenic Motor Museum up north and to the sea in south with our kids (youngest 6 years old). In between this you'll find a whole lot of parks, sightseeing, attractions, restaurants and grocery stores. The closest only a couple of hundred meters away. Much recommended place to stay for a trip to Athens. We would really like to come back, although the price has gone up quite a bit after we stayed (got an introductory offer from Booking.com), so I'm not sure we can afford it anymore. Regardless, an amazing stay, very friendly hosts and absolutely recommendable in every way.
Negative: Seems like there's no parking available, in case you want to use a car at your stay. The fact that the power is cut when you go out and bring the key (magnetic switch on the main power) had some small consequences (resetting the stove every time, making the tv's turn on automatically when the power came back, and obviously no air condition/heating when not in the apartment). All in all minor details, for us at least, not impacting our stay much at all.
Summary: Probably the closest you'll come to a hotel-feeling-in-an-apartment without it being at an hotel.
