Positive: Very good breakfast - always warm croissants, and a variety of egg dishes as well as fruit salad, yogurts, etc. It lacked vegetables, though.
Negative: The noise from the streets was really audible in the room.

Positive: A great hotel with breakfast included. The room was excellent with a sea view. Service was outstanding. Latvians, feel free to come here — there is a very kind and positive Latvian working at reception. Very close to the sea and the promenade. There are restaurants on-site, and many more just outside on the streets. We will definitely come back here again!

Positive: When we came to the hotel and for the next few days we thought that we will give it a great opinion as we found this *** hotel pleasant and worth its price.
Negative: However the last day proved to be a total failure. The air conditioning stopped working at 2 p.m. and some guys came to fix it however nothing changed. The air was blowing like there was a fan on not the air conditioning. Ok we managed to survive the night and we went to the reception early morning to ask if we could stay until 2p.m. Instead of 12 as the usual check out is. The receptionist went to the manager and he agreed but said that each additional hour costs 10€! We were really disgusted because the air conditioning wasn’t working and we just asked for two more hours as our flight was at 5 and there was no point sitting at the airport. Not to mention that the manager didn’t come to talk to us (as he was extremely busy) and everything was just said through the receptionist. We told them that we agree to pay 10€ for each additional hour if they agree to pay us back 10€ for each hour that air con wasn’t working because we paid for the air-conditioned room. In each situation you should just be a human being - we only asked for two additional hours and not a ride to Mount Everest. We came to the hotel at 2a.m. even that the hotel day started at 2p.m. the previous day, we ate lunch in the hotel restaurant each day so we also left the money there, not to mention the broken air-conditioning which is a vital point in the temperature of 34 degrees. We wouldn’t feel that bad if the manager came to say sorry or just came to talk to us and not treated us as trash. Was he afraid to talk to us??? I will inform the booking.com about the situation as I find it unacceptable.

Positive: Not the newest hotel on the block, in fact, they make a point of letting you know (with a commemorative plaque) it was the first in the area after 1974 Turkish invasion. It has been renovated since, of course, and you can tell the improvements have not stopped. It's an old building, with renovated bathrooms and in my case, a quiet room overlooking the pool and sea. I wouldn't call it accessible if you have mobility issues, though there is an elevator and the means to get to your room even if you are in a wheelchair. Keep in mind that Cyprus is very hot in the summer months, I'm so glad the air conditioning in the room was efficient and the pool was the best I've experienced in years! Breakfast was plentiful and varied, and I tried one ofthe restaurants as well, nothing but compliments on the food and service. Shout out to reception, breakfast and La Place Royal servers, they were helpful and overall made for a great experience. For these aspects, I would give the hotel a 9.
Negative: My only complaint would be the cleaning lady really. I'm sorry to say this, but she doesn't do a good job. My room was clean, my bed was made, but I can tell there are issues. Maybe because she doesn't have the appropriate tools, maybe because she doesn't express herself properly. Let's just say there is room for improvement in this aspect, but nothing that would keep me from booking again.
