Summary: Cute and cozy. Would change 1 thing...mattresses are very firm and covered in plastic with extremely thin sheets. All you felt was the slippery plastic. Also ddnt feel like the bedding was fresh.

Summary: We had a great stay-spouse, child, and myself. In no particular order: 1. The beach is right there-- it takes 30 seconds to walk there. There is a nice sand bar. Tbe water is calm enough that my kid mastered paddleboarding one morning! 2)I instantly felt at home- clean lodgings, memory foam beds, and kitchen essentials. 3)Deb was thoughtful enough to provide some welcome snacks and freezer pops, which my child found in moments. Beach toys! Board games, yard games, and puzzles too-- we had one day of rain and found them all! All of the kitchen basics but of you like to cook, do bring your spices. Bonus-- an outdoor grill! 4)The water is calm and, even in August, we only saw 2 jellyfish the entire time we were there- 6 days. Good outside hose to wash sand off but I'd recommend bringing a bath mat as a landing pad if you swim in the ocean, along with a dedicated pair of flip flops to keep on the back porch. 5) lots of restaurants deliver, which is what we wanted after being in the water all day We brought a pool raft which was perfect for bobbing on the waves. Deb has 2 beach towels and a pile of bath towels but those need to stay in the house. Beach chairs are on the back porch too. A really easy going host- thank you! We were asked to take out trash and gather towels for laundering- a very easy ask.

Summary: The apartment is exactly as described. Its immaculate and well maintained. The owner (Deb) lives in the other side of the side by side duplex. She is a wonderful host, provides immediate assistance when needed and is a gem of a human. Her welcome gift had snacks to scratch every itch and was much appreciated after a long drive from Philly. The porch provides total privacy and an unobstructed ocean view, provides shade and even catches the ocean breezes. A short stroll puts you on the beach or in the water for a swim. There are tons of restaurants and easy grocery shopping a short distance away. Highly recommended!

Summary: Deb was a gracious and wonderful host. The house is so cute and clean and location is perfect. From the back porch it's a 1 minute walk to the beach. Beach was clean and lovely. My daughter loved playing with the Foosball table on the back porch at night. The house has all the amenities you could ask for. We are already planning a return stay.

Summary: This immaculate little cottage could not have been cuter, or more well-appointed, and Deb was as responsive and accommodating as I’ve ever dealt with. The short stroll to the wide-open beach, plus the quick drive to everything else, made the location excellent. We spent many hours, both morning and evening, enjoying the water views from the porch. All of us, including the dog, had an exceptionally wonderful stay and really appreciated the attention to lots of little details that went into making that possible.

Summary: The perfect getaway! With two boys 7 and 10, it was the such a great place to vacation. Seclusion on the beach with low-tide sand bars, waves big enough to boogie board but gentle enough to not pummel the kids, dolphin sightings, boat watching, military fly-overs, all outside the hustle of VA Beach yet still only a 25 minute drive to great attractions! Deb was such an amazing and responsive host. They boys were sad to go!

Summary: It’s all about the view! If you are looking for a peaceful retreat on the beach, literally a sandy path to the water, this is it! Complete kitchen to make all your meals with a few really nice restaurants nearby and a grocery store, and liquor store down the road. Deb is very accommodating and easy to reach for questions. A perfect girls’ week with cocktails, and sandy toes… 🙂

Summary: We loved our stay at this charming beach house! Perfect location for toddlers - less than 1 min walk from porch to beach. Being on the bay also meant the water was very calm, which is also great for little kids. House was clean, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches. You can tell that this is a personally run rental (vs a larger rental company) and that Deb (PM) cares a lot about ensuring guests have a wonderful stay. Note: the house comes with a lot of amenities, so no need to bring bath towels (there are plenty), sand toys, sheets, or dish soap. There is also a washer and dryer available in the basement - just ask Deb if you need it! We hope to come back again next year if the calendars align. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
