Discovery lodge is a rustic cabin perfect for all seasons! The lodge is finished with custom wood logged from the property. Our cabin decor creates a warm welcoming feeling.
Conveniently located on the snowmobile and ATV trails you can hop on or hop off the trail for easy access to discover the entire Eastern Upper Peninsula.
Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point Lighthouse, Crisp Point Lighthouse, and Point Iroquis Lighthouse are all a short drive up the road.
A barbecue area set up outside allows for family and friend interaction, while enjoying the outdoors.
We are also centrally located for day trips to the Sault Ste Marie Locks, Mackinaw Island, and Pictured Rocks. Come stay at our place and discover more than the immediate area.

Summary: The lodge was perfectly located by the trails. All the amenities were provided such as Tp, paper towels, linens and even soap for laundry. I would highly recommend and would stay there again.

Summary: Great stay! Could not have asked for better amenities in the north woods!!! Only couple things are that you should make clear that this property shares a parking lot with a restaurant/ bar that has a 24/7 a week light on in the parking lot, that attracts a lot of pull off traffic some of who will even knock at your door asking about the bar next door!!!!!! Second the bugs got crazy!! Not sure if it was a freak timing thing but about 1000000 ladybugs swarmed the inside of the place…. Third a little bit bigger bed would be nice for the master bedroom. 10/10 would stay again though! Great property loved the historic floors and pictures of the area!

Summary: We found The Lodge to be as pictured, plus better. It’s equipped with all needed for a comfortable visit: quality bedding, matching dining & cookware, comfy furniture & beds, Up North decor, nice shampoos & soaps, fluffy towels, good water pressure & plenty of space. We especially appreciated how clean everything was,. We arrived on a chilly, rainy day but the heating unit works so well, the whole house was quickly dry and toasty. Excellent WiFi and TV connection. Location is an easy drive to White Fish point (shipwreck museum, rock hunting on the beach & amazing sunsets), as well as to Tahquamenon Falls. We were not bothered by road noise since it becomes especially quiet at night. Also, bring your groceries (we stopped at a store as we left Munising.) Not much to choose from in the area. Great place. ‘Hope to return! Thanks for everything, Erin.

Summary: Wonderful cabin, many amenities that I didn't expect like board games (we didn't use them, but would have been nice for a rainy day), a full size coffee pot and kurig, shampoo, conditioner and body wash (didn't need those either) and a crock pot (used that). Also, the owners replaced the 1 ply tp with quality stuff. The only downside was that we arrived after the only grocery store was closed. The Tahquamenon general store was about 25 minutes away. They had enough items for us to put together for dinner, thankfully. And their firewood (came with a firestarter, and was super easy to get going) was perfect for our evening bonfire later in the week. We also ate at the restaurant (closed Sun & Mon) next door once. Good Food. (We left their menu in the basket in the mud room) The closest Walmart is on the mainland 20-30 minutes from the mainland ports to Mackinac Island. We got the rest of our groceries there, since Mackinac Island was one of our destinations for the week. We also enjoyed Munising, Tahaquamenon Falls, and Garlyn Zoo. The zoo is only 45 mins from the cabin. The fall colors are a bit late this year, but there was plenty of color on the roads leading to the cabin.

Summary: Very clean. We had our dogs so we brought our own food; just needed a water /drink pitcher but had everything else. Just keep in mind it is close to road so no space to let your dog run free. Master bed is a full bed.. I did not see that in the description so if it was there that was my fault! No issues, easy to deal with, and close to the falls.

Summary: The owners were super responsive. The house was clean and the sheets/beds were soft. Good location to going to Paradise, Newberry, the Falls, etc. A couple things we noticed for one, when you walk in the house has an odor to it, musty. Air Freshner, candles, etc would help. Also as soon as we walked into the house you could tell there are some foundation issues, the house leans to the right. The shower door leaks as well and we had a towel on the floor to soak up the water. Please by 2 ply toliet paper. It's not that much more expensive. We bought our own, thankfully. Nice to have the Silver Creek pub next door, but since it's for sale the owners close whenever they want. Good basic burger. Try the Inn in Paradise, yummy and lots of homemade items.
