What Our Guests say 500 + Reviews

Summary: We had such a good time when we stayed at Dreamcatcher cabins. Everything was clean, towels and toiletries were well stocked. Th lodge was great to hang out in as a family and we loved the individual cabins. Every cabin was just a bit different. We enjoyed fishing for bluegill and crappies in the pond and the fire ring made for a nice evening on a chilly fall day. I would not hesitate to stay there again and have already referred several friends. I do have a few suggestions for the owner as I know they read the reviews. These are just suggestions: We had no problems accessing the cabins with the key code and locks but we were unable to access the lodge with the code and lockbox. I finally thought to unlock bathroom #3 and we were able to get into the lodge that way. The lockbox on the lodge is very difficult to use or we were sent the wrong code. Perhaps make that lockbox easier to use. The picnic tables by the pond are nice but one of them would be better served up by the fire ring. We did a cook out with mountain pies and hotdogs one evening and had no where to place anything up by the fire ring. Please replace the sheer curtains in cabin #1. It has those nice big windows but when the light is on at night everyone can see into it. I didn't feel comfortable changing into my PJs at night in the cabin and had to drag everything into the bathroom. Perhaps stock the pond with a few bass and a few carp. With the amount of bluegill in there they would really take off. We loved being able to fish there but catching something other than bluegill and a few crappie would make things a bit more interesting. If you did stock a few bass and carp I would also be sure to post as catch and release fishing only so anyone that stays there can have the same opportunity. Thank you for providing a wonderful place for groups and families (along with fido) to stay.

Summary: This property was ideal for a trip of 2 families and their teenagers. 4 separate cabins with air conditioning. 1 main lodge that houses the kitchen and family room. And 4 1/2 baths. Some things that they have but are not mentioned are: they have 8 chairs up at the fire pit, they have a washer and dryer, coffee maker, hair dryers. Some things you might need/need extra of would be; paper towels, toilet paper, fire wood, dish towels, and trash bags! The pond is great for keeping the teenagers fishing and I loved listening to the bull frogs!

Summary: We rented this for our moms birthday. It was perfect because every family had their own space but the common area was big enough to accommodate us all. The fire pit was so cute, but the trail is dark! So bring flashlights. Not much in the kitchen, usually places have extra spices and oils, etc. This place did not so bring everything you will need! Perfect location and definitely would recommend.

Summary: This was our first trip as a family to DCL. When we found the unique set up, we knew it was the right fit for our group which included teens and young adults. Everyone had their privacy, yet were able to come together and hang out in the main lodge or by the pond, and fire pit. The photos online do a good job at showing how it is set up but it's even better in person. We loved having the pond to fish, the porches to hang out on with plenty of seating. The peacefulness of it all was great and we didn't see a single person around us, it was so relaxing. The dogs loved the land and in mid-July, the wildflowers were so pretty. They provide sheets, blankets, towels and everything you need and YES there are now curtains on all of the cabins, which doesn't show online. :) Being a short drive to the lake and the store was definitely a plus. Would recommend to anyone!

Summary: This property was great. Lots of space, privacy, comfort. Very clean. It's off the lake, about 5 min drive to town. I don't think you need to be on the lake unless you have a boat and need a private dock. Quiet, no neighbors, and very pretty vistas in all directions. 4 separate, very nice, sleeping cabins with king beds offer lots of night-time privacy. My teen kids loved having their own cabins. Great for dog-lovers too.

Summary: We rented this spot for my boyfriend's 40th birthday. It was everything we needed and all the guests adored the space. We loved that the fire pit was up above looking over everything - great for star gazing. Would definitely stay here again.
