This rustic lakefront home has it all for those looking for the authentic secluded cabin experience. Perfect for single families or small groups, this home was built in the early 1900s and offers its own a private dock, fantastic views of the lake and mountains, and a gas grill on the deck perfect for those evening cookouts. A gas fireplace provides warmth in the winter, and private dock access provides the perfect setting to cool down on hot summer days.

This home is a true cabin in the woods, as it lies on the far east side of Lake Hayden, 30 minutes from the closest town. The lake provides all of the water activities you could wish for, and there are numerous hiking options in the surrounding Coeur d'Alene National Forest. Skiers and snowboarders are within a day trip of both Silver Mountain (51 miles) and Schweitzer (60 miles).

Summary: Arriving after dark, there is no lighting in the parking area or at the top of exterior stairs. We enjoyed the views & it was cozy. Basic staples were very meager. There was no glass in one of the windows upstairs! It was chilly. The stove looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time! Several times the electrical outlets in lower bedroom & living area had no power.. Minor repairs & freshening up would boost desirability.

Summary: Great little place an the lake, view is amazing. The road to place is long and winding, but worth the drive, to this cabin. Bring your own water as the water comes from the lake. Plus there is not really any reception for internet or TV. Please bring your own movies and books.

Summary: If you are looking for a true cabin experience at the lake, this is your place. We stayed for a week and we loved it. Swimming and fishing off the dock was our favorite. The cabin was as advertised and we were pleasantly surprised there was an air conditioner. Made some great family memories!

Summary: This is a gorgeous cabin by the lake. We loved playing in the water and Paddleboarding around the lake. I gave this cabin 4 starts because the owners/property manager were terrible with communication. About 2 months before the vacation, we had a question about the pet policy, contacted Vacasa multiple times who tried to contact the owner, and never received a response. About a week before our stay we wanted to know if the TV had HDMI connection (which it does), but we never received a response from owner/property manager. This was very frustrating. Overall, the property was great and we enjoyed our trip.

Summary: Finding the rental was easy. The cabin was an adventure to get to, it really was at the end of a dirt road. The cabin is quaint and rustic and weathered well in the wind and rain that came with the season. We enjoyed the view and the retreat from the fast paced world!

Summary: We loved the rustic old cabin. We played board games in the evenings and boated/watersports activities during the day. The private dock was just what were looking for. The 10 mile winding drive to the cabin was the only downside.
