From the moment we arrived, we felt completely immersed in the beauty and tranquility of the surrounding jungle and ocean. The setting is truly breathtaking—crystal-clear water, lush greenery, and the kind of peaceful atmosphere that’s hard to find anywhere else. “On the island” has taken on a lot of meaning in current media—but after returning stateside, we found ourselves asking, why are we not on the island? That feeling alone says everything. This place stays with you. The food was absolutely incredible—fresh, vibrant, and clearly crafted with care. With an organic and sustainable farm on site, locally delivered seafood, and thoughtfully sourced, sustainably raised beef, every meal felt both nourishing and special. The staff went above and beyond to make every moment unforgettable. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made us feel truly welcomed. The hosts are also incredibly knowledgeable about the area—the local history is fascinating and absolutely worth exploring, and their insight added so much depth to our experience. We also loved the experiences offered—the cacao tour was a fun and unique highlight, and the island tours are an absolute must. If you have the chance to explore beyond Bocas, learning about the Panama Canal and visiting the Panama Canal Museum (in old town Panama City) are truly unforgettable and provide amazing context for the region. Whether kayaking, swimming, or simply relaxing and listening to the sounds of the jungle, everything felt restorative and unforgettable. We were welcomed to a private part of the island by Marcus, the owner—warm, gentle, and genuinely attentive—who made sure our stay exceeded expectations. It happened to be my wife’s birthday, and Marcus and his local team went out of their way to make it unforgettable. Bonus points for DBP’s eco-friendly vision and passion. And the unbelievable wow factor? Kayaking through the bay alongside pods of dolphins—pure magic for any nature lover!

Positive: Beautiful in every way with fine design, gorgeous location, fresh gourmet cuisine and wonderful owners and staff. We loved waking up and stand up paddle boarding on the pristine bay and exploring the nearby coves. The minute you pull up to the resort via boat, you know that you are in a special place.

Positive: We chose this location because we wanted to enjoy the tranquility of the sea and live in the midst of nature. Thanks to the location, as well as the owners and the service staff, we achieved our goal. The place is splendid; in the morning and evening, we could see dolphins dancing not far from the shore. The restaurant delighted us every day with different and excellent dishes. The name of the location corresponds perfectly to the place. Well done to everyone, and we hope to return soon. We were offered boat excursions to visit the nearby islands, which were splendid. For the first of these excursions, the restaurant prepared a fantastic packed lunch for us, and once we arrived on the island, the captain set up a table and chairs on the beach. Then, with a machete, they opened coconuts and served fresh drinks – it was fantastic. The island was deserted for several hours, just as the owner had announced, and we took advantage of this wonderful opportunity to explore it completely. Thank you again for this experience.
