Positive: It took us a while to choose a place in San Cristobal, but we could not have been happier with Dolphin House! The owners went above and beyond for us right from the start by picking us up from the airport. We didn't realize that Galapagos tours needed to be booked well in advance, but thanks to their amazing help, we managed to sort out our excursions quite last minute. They were even generous enough to drive us to Loberia Beach one day! The property itself is incredibly clean and boasts a beautiful view. I absolutely loved just sitting in the hammock, reading, and soaking in the serenity. Our evenings were spent taking lovely walks around the island to watch the sea lions. Both the island and its people are wonderfully warm and welcoming.

Negative: Not about the property, but for the island sun! A major warning for future travelers: the UV index here is absolutely no joke. We live in Spain and are used to sunny climates, but we got badly sunburned on our first day after just two hours of snorkeling—even with sunscreen on. I highly recommend packing long-sleeved water shirts/rash guards for the sea, and even a swim cap or water muffler/buff to protect your head and neck while snorkeling. I really wish someone had flagged this for us before we went! Overall, Dolphin House is a 10/10. We highly recommend making it your home base in San Cristobal!

Positive: Very nice hosts! Also the view from the terrace is amazing :)

Negative: The showers had zero water pressure and we weren’t able to lock the door from the inside. Also, the windows would let almost every sound through. Still good value for money though!

Positive: Perfect place to stay at while in San Cristobal. I have been warmly welcomed on arrival, check in process was quick and easy. There is water dispenser to refill your bottle at any time. Room was very spacious and cleaned daily with fresh towel delivered. I have been offered free transfer to the airport at the end of my stay which was very kind gesture of the host. It is also in perfect location - 5min walk to the pier and 10min walk to Interpretation Centre. I had no issues with hot water in the shower.

Negative: Very weak wifi connection in the room.
