The Riverview single wide mobile home is directly on the Famous Indian River Intracoastal Waterway. The property located between the thriving city of Melbourne Beach, FL to the North and the slower paced town of Sebastian to the south. It's just minutes to numerous shops and dining options. The River Escape is the perfect vacation destination for those looking to enjoy gorgeous sunrises, abundant marine wildlife while gazing at the magnificent parade of yachts, sailboats, schooners that glide by just yards from this peaceful and serene vacation oasis.
The River Escape enjoys a lovely beach overlooking the Indian River and has easy access to a large boat dock with ample fishing for redfish, snook, flounder and much more. The living room gives vacationers magnificent views to the intracoastal waterway and an authentic indoor/outdoor experience. The kitchen is fully stocked with all ones cooking needs. The Bedroom has a Queen size bed and ample storage space. The Bathroom has a generous vanity, much storage capacity and a walk in shower. All towels and linen are provided. For our Guests' convenience there is also a washer and dryer. The River Escape has two outdoor sitting areas which include a water view, eating area shaded by a lovely large Mango tree, complete with tables, chairs and outdoor grill. We also offer complimentary kayaks and a paddle board. For an additional fee, you can even charter a 56 Ft. Navigator yacht for the day, weekend or longer. The River Escape is 8 miles south of Melbourne Beach, FL with its numerous beaches, eclectic shopping and a wide variety of excellent restaurants.
The Kennedy Space Center in nearby Titusville is the perfect day trip.
4 miles to the south of The River Escape is Sebastian, Florida known for it's "Old Florida" feel, where the pace is slow and the traffic easy to navigate. Sebastian is also home to a 4 mile Riverwalk, numerous waterfront restaurants and several waterfront parks. Open air concerts are offered at the Sebastian Waterfront from January through June. Sebastian Inlet is a hidden gem with its uncrowded and unspoiled beaches which offer perfect fishing, swimming, snorkeling, and surfing. This inlet also offers gorgeous walking trails and has a delightful oceanfront restaurant. If one is looking for a slow paced getaway on the water where peacefulness and harmony with nature abound, The River Escape will serve this purpose and provide an unforgettable Florida experience that will be remembered for years to come.

-Cars must be in driveway and cannot be parked in yard/street or at neighbors.
-Pets are not allowed on furniture and droppings must be cleaned from the yard.

-Smoking/Vaping is Only Allowed Outside and must be thrown away in the outdoor garbage cans.
-This is a quiet family neighborhood - no loud music/parties/large gatherings.
-Linen must be used on the living room couch if used for sleeping.
-Guests are expected to clean up spills and keep rooms tidy. Floors should be mopped and swept if needed due to spills, foot tracks, or pets.
-Any and all damage needs to be reported immediately.
-Guests are not permitted to exceed listed occupancy in accordance with local laws.
-Guests will be asked to leave the residence for significant violations (in accordance with house, local, and state laws) and do so with the understanding they will not be refunded their deposit or any remaining nights on their reservation.

Summary: Upon our arrival we were surprised to find that the singlewide pictured on the HomeAway website was not to be our home away for the week. Fortunately, the upscale travel trailer that we were shown in its place was equally as nice. It was situated several yards away from the Indian River in a nicely landscaped tropical compound. A seating area with barbeque was a great place to contemplate the magic of nature from sunrise to sunset. Depending on one's internal clock you could experience sunrise while still in bed, or as I did each morning, walking my dog along the river. An added bonus was the historic 1916 House park that was adjacent to the property. It was a pleasure meeting our hosts Michael and Kathy. They were unobtrusive but available if we needed anything. It was a beautiful and wonderful week!!

Summary: Very disappointed in the overall condition of the property. Bathroom full of bugs when I first got there which were immediately taken care of. A full day of rain brought a water leak inside the front entrance which was never taken care of. Avery weak stream of water from the shower and clumps of hair coming up from the drain which was taken care of after complaining. Also a TV reception from aa anttenae which kept scrambling the picture and in many cases losing the picture entirely. These are things that should have been handled way before I moved in.The freezer was not properly sealed and so it would build up frost and ice .

Summary: I don't know what else you could ask for----the view was spectacular, the river cabin was loaded with amenities, private and perfect for a couple. The locations was close to restaurants and entertainment. Our hosts were very accommodating. Many thanks to Mike and Kathy for sharing their beautiful piece of paradise with us.

Summary: Since retiring, we had been camping all over Florida for the past 7 years, looking for the one place we wanted to stay for the winter. Bingo, we found it. We spent January 2017 in this small but lovely cottage right on the Indian River Lagoon. Cathy and Mike are terrific "landlords", very welcoming and accommodating. We found the cottage immaculate, delightfully decorated, a nicely equipped kitchen, two patios (front and back), beautiful tropical landscaping and a view to die for. We spent many happy hours watching the boats cruise by on the Intercoastal Waterway. Dolphin and an occasional manatee play right off the beach. The sunrises over the water are glorious and a daily treat. We were able to bring our fishing boat and although a slip came with the rental, we chose to leave the boat on the trailer, putting it in the water when we wanted to use it. There's a great public launch less than a mile up US 1, making it quick and easy to get on the water. There are two very good seafood restaurants directly across the highway from the cottage. Another perk is the lovely county park next door to the rental property. It has a walking trail, fishing pier, kayak/canoe launching area and a nice museum highlighting the history of the Grant community. We got our daily walking done while watching the boat activity and used the fishing pier when it was too windy for us to use the boat. If we had to pick any downside to this property, it's that there is a lot of road noise, being that it is located right on busy US 1. We got used to it but it is a constant. That being said, the road noise was not a deal breaker for us returning. We've already booked for next winter. Thank you Cathy and Mike for sharing your beautiful place with us... oh yea...and Snow too (the nicest cat we ever met)! Lynn and Terry Wilson
