Positive: The location was good and grounds were excellent. We stayed with our two dogs who were comfortable. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Negative: It is clear that the hotel facilities have seen better days. The food in the restaurant on our first evening was very poor, consisting of tasteless frozen products; style over substance! Breakfast was limited and very basic - products from packets not acceptable. Although the staff we met were very friendly and helpful this hotel is clearly understaffed as at times it was hard to find anybody. The pool was not open during our stay so it would have been nice to have been told beforehand the opening hours which start in May.

Negative: Dinner was a disappointment Menu contained 3 dishes containib-ng Salmon, one of beef Dessert had been delivered by commercial company Starter was simplistic and only needed construction
