Positive: The location of the resort is very convenient, close to the city of Utrecht and shopping, but yet quiet at the edge of a park. The cottages are spacious and equipped with everything you need. It was very clean and there is a separate toilet and walk-in shower. A small patio with chairs and table invites to rest outside after a day of fun.
Negative: Even though the cottages are modern and nice, the area where the campers stay is not very inviting due to lack of private spaces, as was the small building where the showers are. If we had come there with a camper, we would have been very disappointed. The smart tv in the cottage was somewhat useless, since it was set to spanish language (we guess by the previous guest)and you were asked to scan a QR code and download Google tv on your phone in order to use it. Even though the guy who greeted us and showed us the cottage had offered that we could call if we had questions, in my opinion the tv should have been set up for easy use by the staff before guests arrive. Also, it would have been nice if there was a small shelve in the shower where you can keep showerlotion and shampoo, instead of having to put it on the floor.

Positive: We had such an amazing stay at Domstad! The units are all brand new, spotless, and offer a very comfortable and peaceful setting for a longer stay. We were a group staying in two units and loved being surrounded by nature while still having easy access to the city. The bus stop is just an 8–10 minute walk away, making it very convenient to get around. The beds were super comfortable, and we appreciated the fans, spacious showers, and fully equipped kitchenettes. It was the perfect balance of calm and convenience. Dave was also incredibly helpful. From pointing out nearby grocery stores to assisting us whenever we needed anything. We felt well taken care of. We truly loved staying here and would definitely return. Thank you so much, Dave!
Negative: As we had a longer stay, one thing we missed was having laundry facilities on-site. There was a drying rack provided, so we could hand-wash a few items, and thankfully Dave let us know that an on-site laundry area is in the works and should be available soon. We’d also recommend including dishwashing and hand soap in the units, as we had to purchase extra during our stay. These small additions could make a great experience even better. That said, we absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat!

Positive: Location is excellent with the best of both worlds. Lovely green area with lots of trees. Less than half an hour walk into the city centre. We just left the car at the chalet since parking on Utrecht is expensive.
Negative: Would have thought that soap and shampoo are standard issue in any type of accommodation, but apparently not in Domstad. So make sure you bring/buy some. Nearest shop is a good distance away.
Summary: Spotless, modern self-catering accommodation in excellent location.

Positive: Clean,. spacious and lots of natural light. Well appointed kitchen and friendly staff. Nice spot on the canal. Convenient to buses giving good access to Utrecht central.
Negative: Internet upload speed was practically zero. I ended up using my own hotspot for work but it was fine for streaming services.
