Positive: The best place to stop in Sittard. I have been coming to Sittard since 2020 and always stay in this hotel. My family checks different places, but the food in the restaurant, breakfast, and pizza in the bar or lunch are so delicious and great for the same price as in town. I really, really recommend this place.

Positive: This was our 5th stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Sittard, and every time we visit this area, this is the hotel we choose. It has become our go-to place because we always feel genuinely welcomed. The complimentary chocolate cookies at check-in are a lovely touch and immediately make you feel at home. The rooms are always very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax. We especially appreciate the large bathroom, which is much more spacious than what you often find in hotels. The check-in and check-out processes are also consistently smooth and hassle-free, which makes the whole stay very easy and enjoyable. We are sure that we will stay at this hotel again the next time we visit the area. It has become our first choice, and we look forward to coming back.

Positive: The breakfast was quite good and the staff was super friendly, given us tips about Sittard and dealing with check-in and check-out on a timely and super organized manner. We could definitely return!
Negative: Missed some facilities in the room, such as makeup cottons and shower cap. The towels were also separate, so one was in the bathroom and another in the wardrobe — it could be easier to keep all in one place. Also missed slippers, those can make the experience even more comfy.
Summary: Great hotel, with an awesome restaurant and staff. We could definitely come back!

Positive: Rooms were spacious with air conditioning which was wonderful in the hot temperatures of the heatwave we experienced whilst there. Breakfast was good with a great choice of Continental goods and also a cooked option.
Negative: We booked for dinner on the first evening and had to wait a long time for our order to be taken and then were kept waiting almost an hour for the meal to arrive. The excuse was that there were only two on duty (chef and waiter), but there were 3 or 4 staff members on reception which wasn't busy there. Surely it would have made sense to have had one of those deployed to help in the restaurant.

Negative: I was disappointed that I was not informed about the building work outside of the hotel, meaning on my arrival which was very late I could not follow google maps and had to walk a long way around with luggage. Also walking through sand everyday meant this git transferred into my room which was unpleasant when stepping out of bed. The hotel is very nice, I just would have appreciated prior warning major building work was happening which limits accessibility.
