Positive: The Location was superb, fantastic views and we loved the setting of the property, very historic. Handy location for what we needed. The facilities in the cottage were very good. Lovely and warm.
Negative: It took us a while to sort out the hob! Wouldn't want to arrive in the dark! The directions were good but it was still a little unnerving for the first time even in daylight; I guess it was an adventure!
Summary: Perfect for what we wanted.

Positive: We booked two adjacent properties for the six of us. We cooked and socialised together. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and in a gorgeous location overlooking the bay. Walking and biking straight from the door. Absolutely splendid. The farm is of interesting architectural design and many features retained during the renovation. We all loved it.
Negative: Reviews on some sites concerned us. Either these were misleading (like cobwebs; single ply loo roll rants) or the owners had acted upon feedback. Nevertheless we had no complaints.
Summary: A superb rural retreat - great place to unwind.

Positive: This place is just outstanding and the owners have thought of everything so you don't go without anything you'd need at home. The setting is idyllic and the wildlife around the cottage itself just topped it off. Thanks so much.
Negative: We just wish we had booked a little longer as it was quite expensive for the 3 days we booked. Looking at their rate it seems weeks are better value for money.

Positive: Never met the hosts but had clear instructions on how to find the keys. Liked the location, can see the sea from the main entrance. Liked the main dining table which can seat eight guests. Liked the bottom floor shower which was disabled friendly. Liked the dishwasher.
Negative: The light in the fridge annoyingly flickers on & off - needs changing. The mattresses have certainly seen better days, particularly those in the twin rooms. The shower on the first floor has very little power and the shower curtain needs replacing. There was no welcome pack, e.g. no small jug of milk or any tea bags or any dishwash liquid. The instructions said we were to vacate by 9.30am which is extremely early by anyone's standards; average check out time in most places is 11am. Slightly mouldy smell throughout the property.
