Summary: My husband and I enjoyed our stay at The Driftwood. It definitely is a lot more of a humble and dated hotel than we are used to but the ease and friendliness of check-in, central location, and shuttle service from airport really made up for it. Thank you to all the Driftwood Hotel employees for a great stay!

Summary: Very friendly and kind staff. Mike and Kim very professional both. Cons: No elevator and I had to lyft my lugfage up there without help, lady driver didn't help either to lift my lugfage, I think is a bummer.....we arrive tired, we all need help with our bags :(

Summary: I stayed in a one-bedroom suite for a week. It was spacious and quiet. The kitchenette was very convenient. I have stayed there twice now.

Summary: The location is excellent -- it's near downtown, next to the Alaska State Museum and a general store/deli, and close to restaurants. A key benefit is that the Driftwood provides free shuttle service to the airport and two places in Auke Bay -- the Alaska Ferry Terminal and Statter Harbor. This is extremely helpful as cabs can be scarce. On the negative side, the hotel is older, very basic, even stark. Although it's three stories, there is no elevator, only metal steps, so lugging our suitcases up and down three stories was a bit hard. Our bedroom and bath were adequate but basic and rather old & tired. There was no refrigerator in the room but there was a hair dryer.

Summary: We had a two bedroom. It was spacious. The cook top worked well. There wasn’t a fan for the cooktop so we set the smoke alarm off cooking bacon. Only two of the three pans for the cooktop were appropriate. One was too small and didn’t cover the burner so it would not function. The tv service was really glitchy. It was walking distance to downtown and grocery store.

Summary: The room was clean but it had a stale smell. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you just want a place to lay your head, the Driftwood is great. Walking distance to downtown or shall I say to almost everything!

Summary: Very friendly and helpful staff, and nice room. Appreciated the shuttle to and from the airport, and the free loaner of bear spray for a local hike. Lack of air conditioning was a bit of a drawback as the panhandle was having a heatwave when we were there. I expect the need for A/C doesn't come up much in the region. In normal Juneau weather, we'd stay again!
