Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This accommodation is in the most fantastic, isolated, mountain location I've ever been to. Bear in mind this is not a luxury hotel, but a mountain farm trying to make a living from genuine lovers of the high Spanish environment. Basic but wholesome food and a very helpful, hard working hostess, Saida.

Positive: The best parts about the accommodation are the stunning location and amazing hosts! The area is so incredibly green you would almost forget you are in the south of Spain. It is also teeming with interesting wildlife, such as deer, boar, raptors and for the lucky few the elusive lammergier (there is also a reintroduction center for this species nearby). The hosts are great people and very accommodating! Both the breakfast and dinner are homemade and typically Andalusian. They even made me, on request, a bocadillo to-go so I could leave early to see the wildlife. All in all I definitely recommend a visit, especially for those looking for a quiet place away from the more touristy areas of Cazorla.

Negative: Be mindful of the road going up to the accommodation. Although it is drivable, the road itself is full of potholes and sharp stones. However as long as you take your time you will be fine (and maybe leave the city car at home). The quality of the road should not however dissuade you from a visit, as the location is absolutely stunning!
