Positive: The stuff was really nice. We could check in very early. The breakfast was tasty. The view from the roof terrace was amazing. It wasn't expensive but we were there in the beginning of March.

Positive: I liked best that there was a human to interact with. Possibly other people like having access codes and "no contact" places to stay, but it is not my preference. Michael, the owner, was there to greet us, was there to answer questions and give us information about his town. Loved it! Also, because he's there, he takes pride in what he offers. His hospitality skills are great and he's proud of offering good accommodations at a reasonable price.

Positive: The owner was super friendly and that always deserves good points, you feel welcome.
Negative: I think the breakfast was not fresh enough, i would keep it simple, instead of the 10 types of yoghurt or 5 types of juice, i would just serve fresh juice and fresh yoghurt (example), there was sadly no baby bed!

Positive: We stayed at Duncan Guesthouse for the last day of our Malta round trip in November 2025, and it was a perfect choice. The location is fantastic – a great terrace directly at the harbor in Marsaxlokk. We didn’t try other accommodations in the area, but it’s hard to imagine a better location. Our room also had a balcony, which was a big plus. During our stay, the building was still being renovated. Our room was already completely new, but a few small details were still being finished, so objectively it would be more like 9 out of 10 points. However, we still give 10 points because of the outstanding service: we had to leave very early for the airport, and the breakfast room was opened especially for us with an individual breakfast prepared. We also received great tips upon arrival that were very helpful for our short stay. We can highly recommend this guesthouse. By the start of the next season, all renovations will likely be finished and all rooms should be at the very latest standard. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Negative: Our stay was simply too short.
Summary: Fantastic harbor location, very friendly hosts, and great service – a perfect place to end our Malta trip.

Positive: Everything was spotless. The room and the bathroom were lovely both very spacious and complete with a little balcony. Michael, the owner welcomed us and was super, he spent some time chatting to us over breakfast, even though he was very busy putting up his Christmas tree! We would love to return to the Duncan one day and stay for longer.
