Positive: Basic and clean, had everything I needed for a short stay. Petra and Tomtom are fabulous and always available for a chit chat so you feel just at home despite being across the world. Breakfast is simple, eggs, toast, coffee, I particularly enjoyed the variety of toast toppings, specifically sprinkles!!!
Negative: The location may not be ideal for some tourist attractions, however it is not difficult to get a tuktuk around. Despite this there are still local stalls and markets nearby for convenience.

Positive: The location is a great base to explore PP. The hotel is on a quiet side street but close to so much with a short walk. The hose is knowledgeable about the city and very helpful. The beds are more comfortable than what you usually find in Asia…:)

Positive: Everything! The owner gave me such a warm welcome, I already felt like an old friend. I even got (a super tasty) breakfast early in the morning because I had to catch an early flight Room was spacious and clean.

Positive: The owner is a genuinely lovely woman who we enjoyed speaking with. She gave us recommendations for places to visit and she also was happy to prepare breakfast as late as we wanted which is amazing if you’re lazy like we are. There is also a large supermarket conveniently located a few minutes walk away.
Negative: The room was not overly clean. The bathroom emitted a very unpleasant odour which made us think that the drains might be clogged and the towels smelled quite bad. Additionally the location is not ideal for activities in the city but tuk tuks are extremely cheap so it’s not a bit inconvenience. Additionally it was not mentioned to us until the night before check out that payment is expected in cash which meant a very large international transaction fee at the ATM. However, the biggest issue for us is that there were MANY mosquitoes in the room and we were hospitalised for five days due to dengue fever a week later, and the timeline implies that we caught it during our stay here as symptoms don’t show until about a week after you’ve been bitten by mosquitoes.
