Negative: Wish the property had air conditioning as it gets really muggy during the day. Be aware of the steep driveway.

Positive: The house itself was beautiful. The location was lovely in terms of having a wonderful view of the lake and quiet surrounds, however you had to drive to facilities such as shops, a cafe (which was excellent, by the way, but a 26-min walk or 5-min drive), and to the beach. The lake was lovely however, and a very short (though tricky) walk from the house.
Negative: Unfortunately, one of the bathrooms had a plumbing issue. When one of the guests was having a shower, a lot of water leaked through the light fittings in the bathroom below. So, we were unable to use the shower or bathtub in that bathroom. Also, there was an issue with hot water. The hot water in the kitchen was scalding hot when at the highest setting, however when we had showers the water was only ever lukewarm (even at the highest setting). This made showers quite uncomfortable. Also, while the property did not specifically advertise a "spa", it did advertise a pool and the images suggested that the spa was operational (when looking at images, steam could be seen). The main reason I picked this property over another was because I thought it had a hot spa, which would have been perfect for our winter stay. However, unfortunately it turned out that the spa was no longer operational as a spa - the electronics had been removed. So, to use it we had to get a hose, find the fitting for it, and fill up the "spa". Finally, although the property was advertised as having a coffee machine, there was no coffee machine. I had contacted the property manager about all these issues. They were great to deal with and responsive, however unfortunately we were not compensated for these issues, aside from a later offer (after a lot of chasing on my end) for one free night accommodation in future if we book at least 3 nights outside of peak season. While this is a tempting offer and I appreciate it, the price of the property has since increased substantially, making this offer unenticing. Overall however, it was a gorgeous house and we loved it, but these issues detracted from the overall experience.
Summary: A beautiful house, but for the inoperational spa and plumbing issues.

Positive: Great house. Have stayed here before.
Negative: Spa has been turned into a plunge pool because it was too hard to fix. Made it hard when the main reason we booked it for was to use spa. Bbq didn’t work only one burner so probably time to repair that. Have stayed here before with a bit of tlc will be good to bring back up to scratch

Positive: The house was clean and the communication from the managers was great. The house was stocked with everything you needed.
Negative: We where a little disappointed to find that the Spa doesn't work and is only a "Swimming Pool". Access to the lake is not ideal as the property is overgrown. You have to access the lake by going onto the neighboring property and this neighbor has put signs up to say private property. The house is also split over 4 levels and not 2 as the floor plan suggest.. we struggled a little as we had little kids but we did find a gate which was at the property so that was a bonus!
