Summary: Overall, we had a nice stay, but for the price, we expected more comfort and attention to detail. The beds, pillows, and bedding were not very comfortable — after three nights, I joked that they should offer in-room massage services to help with the kink in my neck from the rock-hard pillows. The room itself felt a bit run down. The door to the master bedroom wouldn’t close properly, and the ceiling fan didn’t work. Small maintenance issues like that made it feel less polished than we’d hoped. We also noticed the amenities were portioned very conservatively. For example, with four people in our room, we only received enough coffee to make one small 16 oz pot. A few simple upgrades — softer bedding, working fixtures, and more generous amenities — would make a big difference in the overall experience.

Summary: I appreciate this is a “historical” property and Fall is a high demand time in the Door, but the size of the room was, in my opinion, very disproportionate to the price we paid.
