Positive: Stunning building, great location. Very stylish and luxurious. Beautifully designed and decorated, with well considered details. Huge rooms with great view from lovely balcony. Massive bathroom with roll top bath and dressing area. Decent breakfast. Good cocktails. Nice helpful staff. A very interesting place to stay, would definitely book again.

Negative: We stayed in the Victory Annexe, which was beautiful and very in keeping with the original building. Very strange that it was treated as separate (different reception and pool), even though both parts of the hotel were totally cohesive - there was a bit of a ‘second class citizen’ vibe for those in the annexe that simply wasn’t necessary. Food and drinks at the pool were unusually expensive. They should change to glass water bottles in rooms - not very pleasant to drink out of thin plastic, and not in keeping with the classy branding. Needs a wall hook in the dressing room area of the bathroom.
