Positive: We really enjoyed the location and the hospitality of the staff and food was fantastic.
Negative: We recently stayed at your resort and, while we appreciated the hospitality and location, we were very disappointed with the condition of the bathroom in our room. There was visible fungal growth across several areas, and the air felt damp and unhealthy. We could feel the effect in our breathing. We understand that this is a humid region, but that makes proper cleaning and ventilation even more important. The current state fell far below expectations and did not reflect the overall quality of the rest of the resort. Please see the pictures we have taken, which clearly show the extent of the problem. A thorough professional cleaning and an improvement in airflow would make a significant difference for future guests. In addition, the Wi-Fi did not work at all during our stay. Even after being told it was restored after three days, we did not experience any change. Given the discomfort caused, particularly by the bathroom condition, we believe a partial refund or another form of compensation would be fair and appropriate. We are sharing this feedback in good faith, hoping it helps maintain the high standard expected from your property.

Positive: The location is beautiful and has so much potential. The staff are lovely, friendly, and always happy to help. The property is clean and comfortable with a lovely pool area — a great place to relax.
Negative: However, there were a few areas that really need improvement. We came here to unwind at the end of our trip to India, with plans to do yoga and enjoy some spa treatments. Unfortunately, the yoga sessions were only available when it wasn’t raining, and since it drizzled most days, none took place. I booked a full body massage and body wrap, but the experience was quite uncomfortable. There was no real massage — oil was simply rubbed in repeatedly, and during the wrap I was left uncovered, cold, and uncomfortable for about half an hour. My friend’s back and head massage wasn’t much better. It didn’t feel like the staff were qualified therapists, which is concerning for a spa offering these services. We also had maintenance and housekeeping issues: the shower drain was blocked and flooded, and we had to ask for our sheets to be changed as they were quite worn. The food was hit and miss — some meals were nice, but others disappointing. On our first night, rice was missed from our order, and when we requested boneless chicken, it arrived dry, chewy, and still with bones. When we mentioned this, the response wasn’t particularly helpful. This place really does have charm and potential, but it needs better training for spa staff, more consistent food quality, and some attention to maintenance and housekeeping to reach the standard it could easily achieve.

Positive: Mountain view. Romantic touch request flower decorations and a cake was accommodated but it could be more eye catching. Special arrangements for candlelight dinner arrangements, but it could be more interesting with arrangements of some soft music for the romantic ambience.
Negative: 1. No Honeymoon Cottage Available: I specifically asked for a room with both a private pool and mountain view, ideally suited for a honeymoon. The resort replied that they do not have honeymoon cottages, which is disappointing given my intent to celebrate a special occasion. 2. No local transportation services from the resort. 3. Spa wasn't up to the mark, it was small not so well maintained. 4. Room arrangement poor, curtain not settled privacy compromising.
Summary: A romantic escape with mountain views, though I wished there were more honeymoon specific options.

The view of the tree house with the sharp stream flowing below was simply heavenly. One of the highlights was taking a dip in the infinity pool, with the backdrop of rolling hills and the stream—it was a magical experience. The breakfast spread was sumptuous, fresh, and a great start to each day. Overall, Eden Woods gave us the perfect mix of relaxation and scenic beauty. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Munnar at its finest!
