Positive: Fantastic place for a little holidays, such a gorgeous surroundings, peaceful and quiet. Absolutely recommended. All clean and so welcoming. Orla, the host was so helpful. Would love to come back.

Positive: The place is literally a home away from home. Very comfortable the hosts were lovely people. Easy to reach just a phone call away. Garden was small but lovely beautiful countryside view. Property was easy to access. Clean and lovely no complaints about the home or location it was exactly what we wanted. Just a shame we got ill a day after arrival.
Negative: Power cut out everyday for three days but one call to Shane and it was sorted. But then couple days it cut out for the whole day in the village and everything in the home depends on electric we were ill with flu as it was winter. No fireplace, all heating and hot water was dependent on electricity and it was freezing temperatures 18feb to 27feb . Would recommend a gas heater for such situations or a woodburner fire place.
Summary: Wonderful place to stay in spring or summer

Positive: Loved the beautiful surroundings and the house was perfect home from home for our family. It had everything you could need and was so welcoming that the kids settled in right away and had so much space to play. We had a great time exploring the local history of the area, the people were so friendly and even though it was February, we were able to enjoy plenty of games in the lovely garden. Orla and Shane were lovely, helpful and friendly hosts.
Negative: Nothing, it was all great!
Summary: Relaxing week in beautiful house and surroundings.

Positive: Easily accessible to the town via a lovely woodland walk. Also on description it said no Wi-Fi but when we arrived there is.

Positive: The cottage was clean and comfortable. It had everything we required.
Negative: There was no hot water in kitchen,so had to boil kettle to wash dishes. There was a dishwasher,but did not think it economical to put it on for two cups and plates. The TV could have been updated,as it had lines running through the screen. Petty issues, I would still recommend the property,if you want a quiet time away.

Positive: A cozy, traditional cottage tucked beside a huge pasture with grazing horses. The cottage has great facilities. Heating, hot water and bathroom all worked very well. NIghts were quiet and peaceful, days full of birds singing and new spring flowers.There's also a great walking trail/path behind the cottage that winds up through the estate. Hope to stay again next time near Gortin. PS - the Gortin glen is amazingly beautiful = lakes, ravine, valley and forest are all magical.
Negative: All was great - and the one issue with the washer was taken care of quickly.
Summary: Genuine Irish Cottage on an huge, old estate for a real Eire experience.
