Positive: Modern apartments with everything you could need, stunning views, excellent breakfast, superb pool and landscape gardens, but best of all are the fantastic staff, they make you want to return again.

Negative: Having to leave. (but If you have walking difficulty's access up the road may be an issue).

Summary: A family run property set to the highest standards, better than any hotel chain group.

Positive: This was a really lucky find. Spectacular. The accommodation was first class, stylish and furnished to a very high standard. Our unit was split level, with a large sliding door to a balcony that looked over the town. The views kept us entertained for the full stay. Outside there were patios and furniture front and back, and a pool and garden that was almost free all day. We booked for 6 nights, but managed to extend for a 7th, but would have stayed longer. I was surprised to see other groups arriving for only one or two nights and moving on. All seemed amazed at what they had booked, and most wished they had a lengthier stay. There was also a communal lounge, and breakfast could be supplied in the breakfast room adjoining, but since we had a full kitchen and facilities, we did our own meals. (I am vegetarian, and Spain does not cater for that at all other than pizza or a potato omelette.) Parking was easy, and always plenty of space. On a couple of days when we didn’t go walking or sightseeing, we really had the pool and patios to ourselves all day, until 4 when new people might arrive. There was one girl that seemed to be running the whole place with a cleaner and handyman, (her Dad), she was fantastic, very friendly and helpful and spoke fluent English. It was only a short, but steep walk to the village centre, with all of the restaurants, supermarkets and shops. We were sad to leave. Had a great active and relaxing week.

Negative: Can’t think of anything.

Summary: Luxury on the balcony of Potes. Relaxing and active with beautiful views. If it’s available, book it!

Positive: Size and layout, pool was lovely. Location was perfect, the owner and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend and return.

Negative: No Air conditioning but we were told that is the next project. Unfortunately the temperature was 35’c at the time of our stay. It was ok inside the property to be fair.

Positive: CLEAN. Spacious. Modern up-to-date fixtures and bathrooms. Large refrigerator. Nice, shaded patio with table and chairs. Comfortable parking provided. Responsive manager Lucy.

Negative: No paper products to support kitchen (no paper towels or napkins). No tissues. Very small toiletries. (For price and presentation of the hotel, we expected more.) Booking.com description stated that the apartment we booked had a washer and dryer. Not true. There’s a single washer and dryer for guest use (free), in a laundry area. It was clean and we did use it, but we made this booking in large part due to access to a washer in the apartment. So, heads up, if that matters to you.

Summary: Recommended. Clean, spacious apartment. Responsive manager.

Positive: We stayed here for two nights as part of a longer motorcycle trip, and overall it was a really enjoyable stay. The location is great, set just above the town with lovely views overlooking Potes, while still being close enough to walk in. The walk back is quite steep, but we were aware of that beforehand and it wasn’t an issue for us. The hosts were a real highlight. Communication beforehand was excellent, and during our stay they were friendly, welcoming and genuinely engaging, which made the experience feel more personal than just a standard hotel stay. The apartment itself was very well presented and thoughtfully laid out. It sits somewhere between a hotel room and an apartment, with a small kitchen, dining area and comfortable sleeping space. It worked really well for us, especially being able to eat in, which added flexibility to the stay. Breakfast was included and was excellent, adding to the overall value.

Summary: Really enjoyed it – great hosts, great location and a very comfortable stay.
