Positive: Gorgeous cozy cabin in the middle of the Sacred Valley. It was peaceful and serene. It is a bit difficult to find, but our host was good about giving us directions. One side of the home is next to the train tracks, but the back entrance doesn’t have the train tracks. The home was well decorated with an awesome fireplace that Gladys offered to lift for us nightly. The kids loved the animals on the farm. The caretaker Gladys allowed us to pick apples from the trees outside.The shower was bigger the most of the places we stayed in the area. The kitchen was cute and ample for cooking simple meals. We did have issues with the WiFi that we couldn’t figure out. Although it was working really great up until our last couple of days. But otherwise we had a fantastic stay.

Positive: Everything, the place, the people, the environment, the house itself, so cozy and warm. To begin with, the place is near the mountain and the river, so the name "El Silencio" fits perfectly, all you hear is the wind and the birds. You arrive and are greeted by a huge garden with trees and flowers, by Sibian, the owner and Gladys, both nice persons and helped us in everything we need, even turning on the fireplace! The house in which I stayed has a nice living room with a view to the garden, then there's a nice kitchen and a chimney nearby with a huge window on the rooftop and in the main room you have to beds, and sofa by the window and a nice third bed in the upper side with a window in the rooftop so you can see the night sky when you sleep! I have already visited Cusco many times, but this time I wanted to go somewhere quiet to have a few days of total disconnection. I have heard of the valley of Urubamba as a nice place to stay and rest. There are lots of lodges, 5 star hotels and kinds like that, but this place called my attention because of its nice location and excellent price for what it offers. Totally recommended if you want a nice place to stay, enjoy nature and live a slow pace life. I would come back once in a while when I need a place to rest from the city life. (Huge thanks to them because I arrived a little earlier than the check in hour and they told us there was no problem and let us in and then they let us stay a little longer than the check out hour)

Negative: There are a couple of things I think could improve but aren't a turn down. First a couple of windows needed maintenance because it was a little hard to open or the handle was broken. Then the grill area also needed a little cleaning.

Positive: Beautiful place with garden in a very quiet area, probably better for warmer months (we went in mid March). We didn't cook at home but there are pans/dishes etc. It's very isolated and not easy to find the first time but if you have a car you'll be ok. Urubamba is a great location to explore the nearby towns/archeological sites.

Negative: It was quite cold in the flat (it was warmer outside) and there was no heating/extra blankets. No hair dryer available. Hot water wasn't great in the shower. The curtains are very thin so natural light will wake you up early ( I hate it but other people may like that).
