Summary: Great weekend stay in DC at this apartment. Fantastic location for folks that love to explore on foot and eat at local stops. Very walkable to restaurants and the E streetcar as well as grocery stores. About 30-45 minute walk to capitol. Only issue was the third bedroom has a futon that was fairly broken. We ended up using the trundle mattress in there for our teen son. If you have smaller kids this is not so much an issue. The kitchen is outstanding and having laundry is always a plus. Very nice owner. If there were a standard twin bed in third bedroom it would go a long way. Overall best way to see the city and relax after a long day on foot.

Summary: The posting on the web site is not accurate. Not a queen bed in the main room, but a 54 inch double, in the other not a double but a single trundle bed, once it is pulled out, the door room can not be shut and there is no walking space left. In the 3rd room what seems to be a single is a floor cushion that may be unfloded into a small bed if you like sleeping on the floor. Only 4 plates and 4 forks and knives, so you must always wash the dishes if you want two meals in a row. It is convenient for 2 adults and 2 children, that is it. We had the trundle bed and my husband felt as if he were sleeping in a drawer. Also electrical security issues, a lamp with a faulty socket and a wall plug in a kitchen cupborad without proper covering. Finally a broken wardrobe door just left leaning on the side of the wardrobe and a lot of other details, like stained chairs, untidy back yard with cigarette buts etc...

Summary: The place was not as described on the ad. The ad says Queen, double, and twin futon. We actually had a double bed, twin with a twin trundle, and a broken futon not big enough for my 9 year old. There was no hot tub, the fireplace was not to be used, and there wasn’t a backyard only a small patio. Parking was off site about 3 blocks away in a shared garage at unknown house. The sheets on the beds were dirty. The bath towels had been put away wet. There was an ant problem in the kitchen. Communication with the property owner was poor at best. She has yet to off anything to make the situation right.

Summary: When I rent a property, my hope is to give the property a 5-star rating, but sometimes I can’t. My expectations are also influenced by the price. So first the positives: The main floor of the property was neat, comfortable and very functional. The kitchen has been beautifully redone, with a fully supplied coffee bar. The place is easy to find. The location is good. It is about a 30-minute walk to the Capital Building, or a $15. to $25. Uber ride to most locations around The Mall in DC. The negatives: Communication with the host is poor. My pre-arrival inquiries were ignored. She does send out the needed check-in information, a complimentary welcome and check-out message. But any communication or inquiries beyond that are essentially ignored. The upstairs in this house has not been redone and it shows. The larger room is where the double bed is. In this room, the closet doors literally fell off when opened. In the second bedroom, the "queen bed" is actually a day-bed with a drawer that can be pulled out to accommodate a second person, but when the drawer/ bed is pulled out, it prevents the bedroom door from opening fully and you have to squeeze around it to get in/out of the room. The single bed is a foldout chair. There is one bathroom upstairs for all three bedrooms. Two days before check-out, the furnace quit heating. Although we let our host know, nothing was done or offered to be done. This place has a lot of potential and a good location but the upstairs needs work.

Summary: We had a fantastic stay just a few weeks ago. The house was very clean and the kitchen was lovely. We have a family of 5 and the space was enough although I do recommend bringing extra blankets and an air mattress if you can. I ended up sleeping on the couch which was cozy because the master bedroom bed was only a full so it was a bit tight for me and my husband who sleep in a king. We loved that there was a garage to park the car in even though it was about two blocks away (a quick walk, though). Overall, it was a really great stay and we would choose it again!

Summary: The listing stated it was for up to 5 guests, and there were 5 sleeping places. However, only 3 bath towels were provided and NO toilet paper- not even a partial leftover roll!! Thankfully we found napkins in the kitchen that we could use until we got to the store the next day. Also, there wasn’t even five seats for us to relax together in the living room. Host didn’t respond quickly to any of our communication. After requesting a late checkout three times and confirming the night before we left, the lock reset automatically at the standard checkout time so we arrived back at the house to get our luggage on our way to the airport and couldn’t get in. Had to contact Vrbo customer service to get a phone number to reach host, ending our stay on a stressful note.

Summary: Ideal location for a DC trip with the family. Minutes away from the Capitol and museums. Very neat and clean, all amenities taken care of. Brought my two terriers, backyard was closed and perfect area to let them get some air. Highly recommend this for a short or long stay with kids and a dog or two. Neighborhood was friendly and no concerns about walking the dogs at any hour. Parking was convenient and easy. Top notch stay!
