Summary: We had a wonderful time at Stone Oak. The property was kept up well, and a very affordable stay. We had 15 people in the house and there was plenty of space to spread out. The only concern we had was that one of the bedrooms was a converted office, so while it had doors, they were glass, so whoever slept in that room was at the mercy of the living room night owls. It was the bedroom with 2 bunk beds and a futon. As long as you can make that work with your specific group, should not be an issue. We had one minor issue come up but the host came within a few hours to fix the problem. No issues communicating. It served as a great home base for all the local San Antonio/New Braunfels attractions, and was a 10 minute drive from great shopping/restaurant areas.

Summary: The property was made for a large group. So many sleeping areas. And a few rooms for those that wanted peace and quiet. The owners were very easy to contact and responded if we had any questions. The neighbors were all nice except the one on the corner, but we had been warned about him prior to arriving. Perfect gathering place to hold my daughter’s baby shower. Easy access to food and shopping. I will say, the pillow covers were very loud if you tossed and turned. I understand that they want to keep germs off the pillows so if you travel by car, I might suggest bringing your own pillows. But everything else was great. If I ever have another large gathering, I would stay here again. Easy to get to the airport and downtown.

Summary: The property was very nice, but was laid out a little oddly. The master bedroom had bunk beds, a futon, and a sofa. A king/queen bed would have been better. The wash cloths need to be replaced. They are stained, one even ripped apart when I wrung it out, and there are too few of them. Additional toilet paper would have been handy, too. The back yard needed to be mowed as well. Other than that, we were pleased with the property and its location. Loved visiting San Antonio.

Summary: We stayed two night for a funeral. The house is beautiful. Only a couple of very small issues. One was a coffee maker was mentioned and it was a Keurig… so we couldn’t have coffee the first morning. The second thing for us was a the master bedroom is set up as a bunk room. There are queen beds in home but it was strange to go from a bedroom on far side of house over to use the master bath (which was wonderful) because the bath by bedroom with queen bed was so small. Also- no dressers in room if you are staying a lengthy time— your clothes will be on the floor!

Summary: The property was located about 10 minutes from downtown, which was perfect for our stay. We had 14 people traveling for a school event. Everyone had a comfortable bed/futon for sleeping. The common areas (living, kitchen, dining, garage) were great for "family time." The property owner was prompt with communication and very informative at check-in. We greatly enjoyed our stay at Stone Oak.
