7 Bedroom House in Thompson

The East Lake Victorian Mansion is renovated to be comfortable for large family groups. No "after prom " or graduation parties are welcome. Five bedrooms ( all queen or larger) on the second floor plus more space in the upper level with a double and 4 singles. There are 5 bathrooms and a very well equipped kitchen. Three living rooms and 2 dining rooms. All linens and towels are fresh and installed for each group.
The upper floor has one private room with a double bed. In addition there is four twin beds in a dorm style arrangement.

..We only rent to family groups. We expect everyone to enjoy all the amenities the house has to offer and to leave it in the condition they found it. NO PET, NO SMOKING, NO UNSUPERVISED YOUTH ARE ALLOWED.
This home has been enjoyed by families for large reunions as well as weddings. Skiing and fishing groups have also been our guests.
Located in a small quiet town, the noise curfew is 10 pm. We are located approx. 11 miles from Elk Mountain. ( about 15 minutes driving time)
A sprawling front porch with hammocks and wicker furniture add to the delight of a summer night. Enjoy skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. Warm weather activities include antiquing, hiking, horseback riding, boating, golfing and fishing. And the best part is that all of these activities are within minutes of this elegant home.
There is space for outdoor play on a well maintained yard. A small public park is a few properties down the street for younger guests. And a small cafe is also a short walk. ( cafe is open 6 days a week from 6am till 8 pm for breakfast and lunch)
This house is offered with a 3 day minimum at $650 per night. (summer rate). Winter rate is $750 per night. For four or more days we can adjust the price. SEE OUR LEASE AGREEMENT FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Summary: My family had a wonderful, relaxing time. We ate, played games, and talked. It was nice to be together since many family members live in other states! The home was comfortable as far as heat, well supplied with paper products, towels, and kitchen supplies, a quiet neighborhood, and all 11 of us could fit around the dining room table! There were plenty of DVD’s and VHS tapes so we didn’t have to bring any, and the host was very friendly on the phone and offered us the use of anything in the home. We all loved the coziness of this roomy, Victorian home. Thank you! 😊

Summary: First of all , I would like to give 5/5 rating to this beautiful house. Agnes’s property is very beautiful and neatly kept. This elegant Victorian house is huge in size. It has almost 7 bedrooms and 5 baths with very cleanly kept furniture and all other stuff. This house has plenty of space for 15-20 people to stay and enjoy vacation. It has more than required amenities mentioned in listings. The one thing we liked most is the house was very clean and Agnes has provided all the necessary stuff which was very surprising as compared to our earlier visits to other properties. Property also has large open area on the all the sides of house where one can enjoy outdoor games like volleyball, football, badminton. Property has separate game room where group can enjoy different games. Our overall stay was very pleasant and refreshing. Whole group including kids enjoyed the house as they got lot of spaces to roam and play around 😊. I would love to come back to this property again in another season to enjoy its stay. Property Owner - Agnes is very Understanding and good host, she was always reachable and quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this property for family groups for stay!!! Summary: A very warm and cozy house which made our stay very memorable. The pictures don't do justice to the beauty of the house. Agnes is a very good host and she made our stay very comfortable. We are definitely looking forward to staying at the property in future.

Summary: There was plenty of space for our extended family of 14 to sleep, dine and play. Having two dining rooms was great so the children could eat tohgether and the parents could eat together. Also the tables were perfect for puzzles, board games and lego building on the rainy day. The kitchen was so well stocked we could not think of a single thing that was missing. Because we have some food allergies, we cooked every meal at home rather than going out with our crowd, so the large kitchen with two ovens and two refrigerators was terrific. The game room, with a pool table and fooz ball table, was a big hit with the kids. Thanks for sharing your home.

Summary: We just stayed at the Spencer House for a long ski weekend and had a wonderful time! We were having a hard time finding lodging to accommodate our group of 14 adults. We needed to be close enough to ski Elk Mtn, but have enough room so we aren't on top of each other! The Spencer House was the perfect fit. The home is absolutely beautiful and obviously well cared for. Each couple had their own private room plus we had a TON of space on the main level for relaxing, cooking and dining. By the way our group LOVES to cook, the kitchen went well beyond our expectations. Plenty of pots/pans/utensils- you name it! The home truly has everything you need to feel right at home. I'd also like to mention the homeowners, Agnes & Alfred, were simply lovely to work with. You really can tell that they love this home and were happy to share it with us. I would highly recommend the Spencer House to anyone looking in the area, it is truly a amazing property.

Summary: Our family spent a great weekend enjoying each other's company, staying up late, playing cards and swapping old stories. Some of us travelled across the country and it was well worth it for the location was a perfect for a large family to relax and spend quality time.

Summary: We rented the Spencer House last year for the long Thanksgiving weekend. We were looking for a location that could accommodate our large extended family for a reunion of sorts. Upon entering you immediately felt like you were at home. This grand old-world Victorian home easily accommodated over 30 members of our family, for an old-fashioned Thanksgiving dinner. It was no surprise that its huge gourmet kitchen contained everything that we needed to prepare a gourmet Thanksgiving dinner, but the amazing thing was that there was ample table service to sit everyone at the same time. We were able to set the table with such beautiful matching china, crystal and silverware which truly made our feast look like something strait out of a Norman Rockwell painting. After dinner there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and watch football while all the kids had a blast playing up in the attic, which was stocked full of toys and comfy beds. The bedrooms were spacious and beautifully decorated with period antiques. The owners were very easy to work with and super accommodating. I would highly recommend this house to those who are looking for a very special and unique property to have a special event like a wedding or a family reunion.

Summary: I was priviledged to stay at Spencer House for a summer weekend.. The house is quietly elegant and yet still warm and sooo comfortable. I am reminded of an English manor house when I view the wood panneling, the master staircase and the exquisite.carvings made from wood from local maple trees. The antique furniture is of superior quality and true to the Victorian Era .A visit is truly a step back in time to a kinder, gentler and gracious way of living. We also enjoyed the Local Ice Cream Parlor and our visits to nearby lakes. If you come you will leave with many great memories!
