Positive: The views were so beautiful. You really need a few days here to take it in and really appreciate overlooking all the farms. The Hot tub was so cute (for 2), the bathtub incredible, The bed was so comfortable and had the same views in giant windows. The host provided goodies and shampoo/soap and delicious nespresso and tea! Home as washer no dryer.The rustic decor was charming: real wood furnishings, slate floor, etc. We drove to an easy few min to Doolin to enjoy dinner and pubs. We used it as a base for cliffs, doolin and galway.

Negative: It would be nice to have the chairs cleaned so you can take the blankets off that are covering stains.

Positive: This little cottage perched on the headlands for the Cliffs of Moher is simply spectacular. It has a cottage “Coorie” feel throughout. Close to Doolin but set in the countryside where a bathtub in a windowed alcove is private. The views blew us away. Water was hot, bed was comfortable, everything worked including wifi. They also left a variety of much appreciated staples like milk, eggs, bread and butter in the fridge along with some fancier treats like cheese, crackers and smoked salmon. My husband wished we had booked it for longer which is saying something as we are on a two month tour of Scotland and Ireland. Five Star Stay!
Negative: There was no microwave in the house. When we requested one, it was very large and looked quite old. Otherwise, everything was perfect!

Positive: We loved EVERYTHING about this gorgeous property. From the tasteful interior to the views overlooking Doolin, we felt like we were in a dream. When we arrived, they had left us some treats and staples so we didn’t need to go shop for breakfast supplies. Having the copper tub at night was a welcome relief after hiking all day and the sound system was glorious. We hated to leave this place, so very close to the town, but out of the way of the many cars and tour companies heading to the Cliffs. A perfect respite indeed.
Negative: We had to leave.

Positive: Beautiful views, lovely decor, very cosy cottage. It was a welcome touch to have a few bits left in the fridge for us.
Negative: There were no mirrors anywhere except one in the bathroom. It was a bit tricky for 4 girls getting ready to go out!
Summary: Lovely cosy stay in Elgin cottage. Not too far from the village and a shop just down the road. Will definitely be back.
