Summary: Fabulous time with friends....The house has a beautiful view of Lake Champlain. We really enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. Great location when traveling to Lake Placid, Montreal and the state of Vermont. The house was clean and had everything that we needed to make a comfortable stay. I would consider a couple of upgrades when it comes to appliances, but no big deal. We would definitely stay again!

Summary: This is the most beautiful location - quiet and serene.... The house was a very nice size and accommodated our group nicely. My only negative comment would be that it is a little dated and tired, and we weren't able to get the fireplace operational. But I'll quickly follow that up by saying that I'd stay here again in a heartbeat! It had every amenity that we needed. We totally enjoyed cooking out, fishing, kayaking and just hanging around the back yard by the firepit playing cornhole.

Summary: We enjoyed the location. It was on the lake with beautiful views. The time of year was a bit chilly because of rain. We did not experience any bug problems, of mosquito or black flies. Great neighborhood to walk around. My friend and I met one of the neighbors who were friends of the owner. They were nice enough to give us places to visit along with a bouquet of Lilac’s. The kitchen was well stocked. The house is a bit away from getting groceries which was not a problem, as we had prepared for this. Please make sure that if you go in warmer weather to ask the owner to put in the window air conditioners in. Our first night was a bit warm. We had arrived around 10:30 at night and the house was closed up tight. The rooms have ceiling fans which is a plus. I had contacted the owner and she was willing to accommodate us with having the air conditioners put in the windows. I told her we were good! We knew how to adjust the windows throughout the house to keep the house breathing. We did great with the time period we visited. It rained a lot while we there, but we were out and about closing windows before we ventured out. We had a perfect time!!!!! It was SO green. We ventured out every day. Went to Weston to the Vermont Country Store for lunch and to see the Grist Mill. Went to East Middlebury and had dinner at the Waybury Inn. Explored the area for Covered Bridges. Went to New York which is very close and had lunch at a cute little dinner. Went to Burlington to ride around Lake Champlain on the Spirit of Ethan Allen boat having lunch. Went to the Shelburne Museum and had lunch. Got some BBQ at the lil’ Addison Four Corner Store and Sandwich Shop. We played Yahtzee each night. (You need replacement cards for players) We had a fabulous time. We’d come back! Thank you for sharing your lake house with us! Our week seemed full with adventure which made it seem too short. Summary: We stayed here over the Winter Holidays and had an amazing time. The house is beautiful and comfortable for big and small groups. Everything was clean when we arrived, the house is very well equipped which is great as the nearest store is 20 mins away. We went skiing to Stowe Mountain 1:15 mins away and enjoyed many evenings by the lake. I recommend this house for any season, it’s a great place to get away from the busy day to day. Only drawback is the slow internet so working from the lake may be difficult but it’s a great excuse if getting away from the office is exactly what you are looking for. Thanks Lyndsey for letting us stay at your beautiful house, and to Terry for taking care of every detail. We hope to come back soon!

Summary: Such a beautiful home in a truly spectacular setting. Our family couldn’t stop strong at the Mountain View’s. Whether over the lake on one side of the home or over the farms on the other, there were no shortage of vistas to appreciate. Our family had a great time exploring Vergennes, Middlebury, Burlington and the rest of the Green Mountain State. Perfect home base. Can’t wait for our next visit!!
