Summary: I was in Calgary for 6 weeks and stayed at three different hotels. All were similar in price and Emerald Hotel and Suites was by far the best in relation to the other options. Hotel staff were wonderful and very helpful, provided extra coffee or items, etc., as requested, The hotel is older but has had some updates so definitely better than other budget options that hadn’t had any upgrades. Do note, they only clean your room when requested, which I appreciated, and when requested they did a great job. It’s in a good location and if using public transit it’s either a 10-15 min walk to the train station, or one short bus and the stop is right across the street. Would definitely stay again if looking for an affordable option, safe, and comfortable.

Summary: The bedding was white and clean, which I appreciated. (That’s always my biggest thing.) There was a mattress cover. Which I also appreciate. The bath/shower/toilet were scrubbed clean. The shower curtain was musty. They brought me a new one within 15 minutes, no hesitation. There was a power bar for the microwave and it stopped working. They came in 10 minutes flat to remedy the situation. The walls & corners & trim could use some sprucing up paint wise. But that’s budget friendly vs the Hilton, right? The staff were friendly and helpful. From font desk to cleaning to maintenance- just nice people. I would definitely stay again and also recommend. Great price online.

Summary: The room is not cleaned and has lot of stains at the heater and on the ceiling, lot of dust and hair in the room and in the restroom.

Summary: The staff were very nice and accommodating. The hotel is also very convenient, especially with the shuttle service to and from the airport. Overall, a pleasant and hassle-free stay.
