Summary: We arrived on Monday and left Friday. For me the trip was nice just being with my family. As for the home it lacked cleanliness. This is something for me that's more important than decor. Especially when there's a cleaning charge and you can tell it was not properly cleaned prior to your arrival. In my opinion it needed a good deep cleaning. I did bring this up to them with photos and they were very responsive. There was good communication from Freshwater which is a positive. The home was furnished well. It has a lot of potential but needs some TLC: at the very least new carpet along with a fresh coat of paint. As for the pool and hot tub... it's convenient that it's indoor. However, you'll have to decide if you want the hot tub and cold pool or heated pool and lukewarm hot tub. It's close to places to shop and eat. I don't like to leave bad reviews but believe it's important to be honest. I know that I read reviews before committing. This was my experience but someone else may view it differently.

Summary: House needs a little maintenance done but the lake is nice and you are close enough to lake huron to drive over and enjoy the beaches. You can fish off of the dock or drive to one of the near by dams.

Summary: This property offered a great view, with plenty of things to do in the area. Tawas was very close by so even better. The pool and hot tub were both nice if you wanted to have a lazy day/relaxing night in. However, the pool was a bit cloudy upon our arrival. Management quickly contacted us when they heard of the issue and someone was out within the hour, so that was a huge plus. The cloudiness resolved within 24 hours and management/maintenance insured us the pool was perfectly safe to use (which it was). Overall our stay was very pleasant and relaxing, and the management company was great to work with. Our only issues with our stay was hearing about some issues regarding pfas in the lake a few days before departure. Being we had our infant son with us we were a little nervous to go in the lake, so we avoided that. Michigan does advise the lake is ok to use but people should avoid white foam. We also brought along drinking water to be on the safe side. Secondly, the house could have had a little bit better of a cleaning. There were a few dirty towels in the basement and the kitchen floor was a bit sticky when we arrived. Other than that our stay was great, we do wish the lake information was disclosed ahead of time so we could plan accordingly. We would still would recommend the property since the management company was good to work with, and the pool/hot tub were a nice touch.

Summary: I have to say the management company for this property was the best, and we have stayed in a lot of vacation home's. They responded immediately to all of our questions and concerns. We saw the posting before it was updated, it is now reflected accurately. It is an "Up North" house, we were comfortable and enjoyed being on the lake and the Pool. From what I understand there were new owners that purchased the property and will be making upgrades to the house as it is older. I think my one recommendedtion and probably easy fix would be a quick power wash to the deck areas to remove cob webs, ect. Also noticed the neighbor had a little ladder attached to the seawall which could make getting in and out of the lake easier. With a little investment it would be perfect for winter or summer outings. Especially with the service we received from Cara, Mark and the whole Freshwater team!

Summary: The lake view was nice. The paddle board and two person kayak was not at the house. Very outdated house. The bunk beds had awful mattress; spring poking through an every warn. The other double bedroom mattress was like a brick. The master bedroom mattress was nice but the bed is a foot off the floor. Weird sinks in bathroom and bathroom open into bedroom without doors, staples in carpet from family to kitchen hurt your feet. The bathroom toilets take at least 10 minutes to recover and make a lot of noise. The water pressure is awful; very low water pressure. We had kids and so we cooked pizza, bring your own pizza cutter and pot holders for the oven.

Summary: No hot water to take showers or wash dishes and the pool and hot tub were cold. Down stairs where the pool was smelled like rotten eggs but that was because the water boiler was broken and leaking the gas in the house. The manager tried to get someone out but they were unable to fix it while we were there. No kayaks which we thought were advertised. Things happen it was just very disappointing for the money that we paid.
