Welcome to Happy Ours!
Gorgeous views and plenty of space to enjoy your time at the lake. We are taking extra cleaning measures and allowing more time between guests and there is plenty of space and privacy to have lots of social distancing fun! This renovated lakefront home is a great place to spend time with family or friends, or would make a great retreat for a family reunion or work gathering. Sleeps up to 4 in the 2 bedrooms and with the additional space offered here, you can easily sleep more on up to 2 air mattresses. (we provide one queen air mattress) The lake front is easily accessible (stairs leading down ) for swimming or fishing, or enjoy the view from the hammock on the covered deck that offers an additional 300 sq ft of outdoor living space (rain or shine!) In the evening, enjoy the firepit on the back patio and the view! This is a rare property on this lake as there is plenty of yard space to enjoy. All rooms have been recently updated, the bathroom has been completely remodeled to include a tiled walk-in shower with double shower heads and shower bench, which provides a relaxing spa-like experience after a hard day of play! Fully stocked kitchen has a large countertop that opens into the common area, offering additional barstool seating, kitchen table seats up to 6, and bar top table offers additional seating. Common area with lounge area, ping pong table and board games to give you inside entertainment options during rainy times. Living room has plenty of seating with 2 full couches and a side table for games. Space is not going to be an issue here! Large sliding doors open from the living room and the master bedroom onto the large deck, letting in plenty of light. There's a patio table to seat 6 and a hammock for your enjoyment. Whether it's morning coffee, strumming a guitar in the afternoon while you watch the lake activity and birds, or dinner at sunset, the spacious, fully covered deck is a favorite. A great place to unwind and lose track of time! All linens, bath and kitchen towels provided, 2 adult life jackets on hand, 2 child's life jacket. Please do not plan to swim without a life jacket for every member in your party!
* 2-3 day minimum rental, some holidays require 4 nights, owner may occasionally consider offering shorter stays, please contact directly. This is a home that is used by the owner and we are always adding additional touches that we feel our guests may enjoy, we ask that you and your guests treat this home as they would their family home during their stay, enjoy it, but please respect it! ** Must be over 25 to rent property, we will consider honeymooners, email us directly. All guests staying overnight must be disclosed on your rental agreement.

Summary: Property was a little hard to find but that could not be helped. Owner was available to call and help us. Otherwise, no issues everything went well.

Summary: Black mold on the outside of deck doors, oven filthy, sink top not attached, no central heating, very old stove, owner not forthcoming with level of water in lake. We were told we could fish from the bank in back of property and we could not. Pictures are outdated from a wedding several years ago. Owner was slow in response to questions. I asked for a refund of $100.00 and have not heard yet. We could not fish on the lake and the marinas were notified in August that the lake level was due to drop 25 feet in September, yet the owner told us we could fish from the bank .VERY disappointed and will not use this web site or stay again

Summary: The property is older, but roomy, comfortable, well provisioned and clean. The decks overlooking the river are fabulous. A couple of negatives were the musty smell and the sliding doors that were difficult to operate. But we still really enjoyed the property and had a lovely time sitting on the deck and just relaxing in the very pleasant surroundings. The cows that came down to graze every morning were an added bonus, and Donna was a great communicator.
