Need a local getaway, no flights needed. Bayview' is situated right on the Atlantic Ocean overlooking beautiful St. Margaret's Bay. Minutes to Peggy's Cove, 35 minutes to Halifax and 45 minutes to the airport. You will see spectacular sunsets while enjoying a glass of wine or two on the 60ft. wharf or maybe you would prefer a higher elevation on your private deck overlooking the peaceful little fisherman’s cove.
The high speed internet will allow you to easily work remotely.
Experience the very best of the Maritimes right here at Bayview. You will enjoy the scenic walk to the restaurant with outside patio. "The Finer Diner restaurant” is just down the street overlooking this charming cove. Six minutes away you can buy fresh lobster from Ryer Seafood Ltd. Or in season right from the fishermen in the Cove. Also in season, you can seek out the local art gallery's, restaurants and hiking trails. There are several hiking trails near by and don't forget to take photo's of the colorful lobster boats in our many fishing coves.
In season, our wharf with floating dock is great for swimming, snorkeling, fishing or just sitting in the colorful adirondacks while watching the sunset. If you would like to take out the kayaks or stand up board, we can arrange that. Or enjoy your private deck, it’s a perfect place for meals or just relaxing while watching ocean wildlife and sunsets.
From Hacketts Cove, it's an easy drive to theatres, recreation facilities, beaches, heritage homes, dining options, local talent and bicycle rentals, etc.
Bayview is made up of three separate and distinct accommodations, each with their own private entrances and private decks. The kayaks, fishing gear, boathouse and waterfront are there to use by Bayview guests.
Bill and I have our residence on site in the lower suite of Bayview, renting the Eastside and Westside as two, separate, private self contained, rentals. Respecting your privacy and enhancing your maritime experience is our priority.

Bayview West is modern and contemporary with open concept, granite counter tops, entertainment room with a 55" Smart TV, laundry/powder room, large sunny bedroom (queen size bed) and has a five piece ensuite. The bedroom has a large sliding glass door to the deck with amazing views. You will be able to hear the water crashing on Lukes Island from your bed or deck. The large, bright living-room has a floor to ceiling stone propane fireplace. There are hardwood floors throughout with ceramic tile in kitchen and baths.
For relaxation and solitude at the end of the day enjoy magnificent sunsets and star filled skies while having snacks on the dock or deck watching the sailboats, fishing boats and wildlife.
