Summary: Nothing fancy but the cute quirkiness won me over within the first hour. The location and water views were wonderful and the only sounds you’ll hear are fisherman getting their boats ready (which is not loud!). I couldn’t get over how quiet it was. The location was perfect for a long weekend escape and exploring Harpswell, Brunswick and Bath areas. Check-in and communication was also super easy. Thanks for a great stay!

Summary: Though property is old It was clean. The only issue we had was there were no outlets to plug in toaster, coffee pot etc on the kitchen counter. Also some of the outlets the plug would not stay in causing things not to charge. The rooms are filled with sunlight with all the windows on the front. The deck is wonderful. Excellent WiFi.

Summary: This house is RIGHT on the water, which is just a lovely place to be. The mosquitoes are terrible in Maine on the grass, but because the deck is over the water, they were almost unseen when sitting by the water which made for really pleasant meals and hanging out on the deck. The house doesn't have air conditioning, which is typical for Maine, but with all of the windows open and the breeze blowing through we were comfortable enough. The linens were very clean. The house was not fancy, but it was very comfortable for 5 adults and a toddler. Those of us who were young and able climbed down the rocks and played in the seaweed and the water each day finding crabs and snails and even spotting seals! The half bathroom upstairs ensuite makes it a bit interesting for the other 2 bedrooms who have to go up and down the stairs in the middle of the night if a restroom is needed (unless you want to share the ensuite one!), but it's not the end of the world, it's just an old house. :) The wifi is OK, not great, probably wouldn't recommend working from the house and certainly if you needed VPN you would drive yourself crazy with the internet dropping the connection, but if you have the opportunity to unplug, then this is the spot! Cundy's Harbor is a very interesting location, extremely authentic lobster/fishing town with not much else going on in all honesty! The owner of Watson's General store right down from the house was even featured in the lobsterman video at the Maine Maritime Museum! You can easily pick up lobster or other seafood treats right in Cundy's Harbor or drive to Gurnet's about 10 minutes away and pick up there. If you need some city time, Brunswick is a short 15-20 minutes away with Bath and Freeport both just 30 minutes away. It was a great family vacation and I would recommend it to anyone for a relaxing getaway!
