Summary: Communication up front was a bit more elaborate than usual in regards to confirmation of rental date, ID requirements and payments, but it all worked out. We stayed with a group of seven and had plenty of space. The place was clean and the beds comfortable. The house is quietly located in a save neighborhood close to the beltway and grocery stores. We only had one single towel per person though, no hand towels or dish towels, which wasn´t the best. We asked for more towels after arrival, but didn´t hear back. We had a good time and would consider staying there again.

Summary: Centrally located between Fairfax and Arlington. House was very large inside perfect for a large family. Four full bathrooms. Kitchen has everything needed for family meal making. Large front porch and side with table. Backyard was perfect for our dog. Neighborhood is quiet and house next to a cul-de-sac. Quick responses from owners. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: The property was good. My family had a good time visiting for a few days after a family event. Some helpful hints to improve for your future patrons. 1. More towels….most women use two 2. More toilet paper 3. More paper towels 4. Mattress covers on the mattresses 5. More cutlery…spoons 6. Have some Clorox wipes on hand 7. Have an extra blanket or two on hand along with a set of sheets. 8. The towel racks need to be secured on the wall. 9. The TP roll was not secure either. 10. Replace the shower curtains as needed 11. Need more dish soap and a scrubbie needed. 12. Need a binder to give directions on trash pick up, recycling day, departure time, and basic do’s and don’ts. 13. Need more seating for TV area for ten To end on a positive note….the cutting knives were very sharp, liked the shower heads and water pressure, space to hang out.

Summary: This is a great space for a large family visiting DC, especially if you are going to spend a lot of time in the city. This was a nice, big house in a quiet, working class neighborhood, with lots of room to park in the driveway. We had plenty of room to spread out, with bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. We cooked breakfast and supper at the house every day and had everything we needed. There is a Giant grocery store less than a mile away (along with McDonalds, Starbucks, etc). We used public transportation to visit the city. We bought unlimited passes for everyone. The SmarTrip app on your smartphone can be used in lieu of a metrocard. We walked to Edsall and Montgomery to catch Bus 322 (Clockwise) at Stop 1145 for the Van Dorn station, then took the Blue line into town. It took about an hour from when the bus picked us up to when we got to the Mall. On the way home, we took the Blue line to Van Dorn, then Bus 321 (Counterclockwise) from the station to Stop 1141 at Edsall and Montgomery. Getting home could take a little longer, since the bus only leaves the station every half hour or so. You can find a map of the bus routes online (VRBO won't let me post the link here). You can track the bus' location using Transit on Google Maps or text "FFX 1145" to 41411 to get the next bus' arrival time.

Summary: I was traveling with my family of 8 and this place was very spacious and accommodating! We stayed at property for 6 days. I feared that even though it stated it could accommodate 9, ultimately it would be cramped, but I was wrong. The property manager sent check-in information more than 24 hours in advance, therefore, I did not have to wait for access codes upon arrival. Amenities included: dishwasher, washer & dryer, blow dryers, and linens. Neighborhood was nice and never felt as though it was dangerous. The house sits close to town so everything is available and accessible. We toured Arlington National Cemetery and the DC and its only a 15 minute drive to either location (public metro stations are close, too)! Will definitely return to property on next trip!
