Positive: You will wake up facing the mountain. It was beautiful and you will not find it in other hotel i guess. Pasang also could arrange our taxi going to the lake and atv riding. You need to get ready to climb the stairs. 114 steps. It is better if you arrive during the day and plus bring a backpack, not a suitcase. But the staff are very helpful, Milano and Manisha. The view is just unbeatable

Positive: A perfect stay. The resort is wonderful, the food is great, and the staff is the best. I can't recommend Deurali enough, and I will be back!

Positive: Once the clouds lift, the views become second to none. The night views of the mountains under moonlight are equally as exceptional. The family and staff who run this resort all come across as warm, kind and welcoming. And the home cooked food is delicious. Overall, it was a magical experience for us and we wished we could have stayed on.
Negative: The resort itself, although it does resemble the advertised photos, is somewhat rundown with aged amenities and bedding. It was also very difficult for myself and my partner upon arrival to cart our own luggage up a very steep 118 steps to reach the resort but we were at least offered an alternative route down on our departure with our luggage transported for us

Positive: We had a fantastic time in ES Deurali. The manager and staff were great. The food was so good that we didn't get tired of it even after eating it for several days. The carefully crafted trekking trails around the resort were also good and not difficult, making it the best for healing. Above all, the Himalayan scenery from the resort, even from the room, was incredible. We love the naturalistic spirit of this resort.

Positive: The location is unparalleled situated close to the surrounding mountains. Despite us having visited off season,we still saw some great views of the mountains, even if it was mostly cloudy, with a superb pastel-like sunset. Undoubtedly the views are absolutely incredible on season and would justify the stay alone. During our visit a local walk was also a great opportunity to see the local rice paddies and a view onto the city below. The room was quaint with stunning views from the bedroom due to the very large window. Food was excellent and the decor in the main living area was very authentic and tasteful. An interesting cultural experience to try the Tongba millet drink which was both flavoursome and boozy! We also very much enjoyed the homemade tea.
Negative: There were a number of things missing from what was advertised. There was for instance no hot tub (there is a bath although it was quite dirty). There is also no air conditioning, but there is a fan. This would likely not be an issue on season as it is cooler but during the monsoon season when we visited the room was a little muggy. Additionally the hotel was described as accessible so we brought our large suitcases. However while it has a paved path leading most the way up there is a narrow gravel path to reach the property or go up a very steep and long staircase. As such anyone with mobility issues would likely struggle to access the property. Finally, the level of English was very low among the staff at the hotel - it seems the owner was not there which meant we had no insight about the local area etc.
Summary: A pleasant stay with a terrific view but a couple of things not as advertised
