Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We very much enjoyed being in the lovely setting of the Finca Pisaverde and meeting Placido. It was a much appreciated change from the busy city stays we had had during the first week of travel. The views of the ocean and El Teide are wonderful and there are a wide variety of fruit trees in the amazing garden that were new to us. Placido explained each and we got to taste all the fruits. The farm fresh avocados, fruits and eggs provided by Placido were also delicious and such a pleasure to find a chilled bottle of wine on hand upon our arrival. It is a great place from which to discover the amazing scenery in the area. Carol was very helpful in organizing our arrival and giving us lots of useful information for during our stay.

Negative: You do need a car to stay at the finca however as getting around on foot is not easy or recommended. The roads have no room for pedestrians and there are no paths to go down to El Pris or up to Tacoronte. Also, the flight path from the North airport does go over the area but the planes were already at a high enough altitude that they did not bother us. Some people are sensitive to that kind of thing so it is important to know.

Positive: Our stay in this beautiful house was truly unforgettable. The location is perfect - peaceful, with heartbreaking views, and close to anything you might need. The house itself is full of charm, spotless, and thoughtfully prepared for a comfortable stay. But what made it truly special were Cristina and Plácido, the most wonderful hosts. They welcomed us like family and made sure every detail was perfect. We left with full hearts and can't wait to return. Highly, highly recommended.
