Positive: Well curated garden. Nice location by the red pine woods, with a commanding view of the bay. Best breakfast! It is hard to find a boutique hotel of this caliber in a nature-loving, local setting.

Summary: I came here for a creative retreat and the setting gave me all the calm, inspiration and relaxation I needed.

Positive: This place is a hidden oasis! We only stopped over for one evening but wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the pool and gardens. The staff was very attentive and accommodating (and we particularly enjoyed the resident dog!). We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, both of which were delicious and filling! The decor of the hotel is also very interesting and memorable. Would definitely recommend and will look forward to staying again in the future!

Positive: The hotel looks beautiful and the rooms were very nice. We also really liked the Turkish breakfast.

Negative: We booked this place because of the great reviews. We had actually saved it years ago and we couldn't wait to finally stay there. However, from the first conversation with the staff, we felt very uncomfortable there. Everyone was extremely unfriendly (which was very surprising, not only because of the reviews but also because almost every Turkish person we've met has been so nice to us). Except for the person at the reception (who may have been the owner), nobody else even talked. It felt like they were forced to be there. On the day of the checkout, we went a bit early for breakfast to let them know that we needed to check out in the next few minutes (because there was nobody at the reception and there rarely was a person) since we had a boat tour in less than an hour and we were rushing. We thought they'll call somebody but we had to talk to them several times in order for someone to come to the reception. On top of all, even though the breakfast starts at 8:30, they served it a lot later and some of it was from the day before and wasn't edible. The time wouldn't be a problem if we weren't rushing but we went downstairs in advance to let them know we'll have to leave soon and yet they were not prepared. It was a disappointing stay overall because of the staff and management but the place is beautiful.

Positive: Gorgeous hotel designed & decorated to an exceptionally high standard. We had an extremely spacious room with a large comfortable bed. Great size bathroom with a powerful shower. There was a coffee machine in the room & plenty of free parking. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in our 3 weeks in Türkiye. It was plentiful & served rather than buffet style. There was a good mix of food & it was delicious.

Negative: Nothing - just a wee tip that if you’d like to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant you need to let them know in advance. We weren’t aware of this so hadn’t pre booked dinner & ended up eating in the only restaurant in Karaoz (which is closed on Mondays).

Summary: A wee bit of paradise with scenic views

Positive: Great hotel with fantastic views from the room. Very friendly staff who make you feel very welcome. Was a lovely place to head back to after a day of hiking. Breakfast was particularly good served in the garden.

Positive: A lovely place! Beautiful interior and exterior and very welcoming and friendly staff. While the accommodation is a bit off to the side, (you need a car,unless you take a taxi), that also means it's more quiet and secluded, but they also served dinner, so we could stay and relax. Our room was lovely and large. The gentleman who runs the hotel is very friendly and does what he can to accommodate you, and he has a good sense of humour. The accommodation is like a small resort and has a lovely atmosphere. If warm enough, you can take a swim in the pool. There's a lift which is great, so you don't have to carry your bags up the stairs. The resident dog and cat are very sweet. This accommodation was perfect for us as an in-between stop on our road trip.

Negative: You can order dinner, and while you are asked what you can and cannot eat, you didn't get to really choose, so I wasn't sure exactly what I was getting. There was a lot of food, so you definitely found something to eat, but I'm a fussy vegetarian who can only eat certain things, and I didn't want to cause a fuss. Otherwise, it was great trying a lot of traditional Turkish food. The bread is delicious.
