Summary: We took an impromptu trip to the Cajas and fell in love with this property. We had a big group of 5 and they accommodated us with ease. It was easy to book, beautiful property, quiet, and so much nature. The workers were so nice and helpful. So many amazing people working together to make this place run. We did on site fishing which was so fun for the kids. The restaurant was warm and welcoming and the food was great. The view was even better. This location is amazing and I highly recommend it. An easy 30 min cab drive from CUENCA.

Summary: Nice place and the service was excellent. Even in cold weather the installations are prepared and they are very comfortable.

Summary: This place is absolutely beautiful, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They gave me an early check in, helped me get transportation, and let me leave me bag after checkout so that I could go hiking. The food was also excellent. I would highly recommend this place if you plan to visit El cajas.

Summary: Loved my experience at Estancia San Juan. The parking area was a little challenging, because you have to go down a short hill to get to rooms and sadly our car wasn’t up to it so they allowed us to park on the top of the property. The Estancia faces a gorgeous mountain and that’s the first thing you see in the morning. It also has several green areas that you can walk to enjoy nature, and if you’re lucky enough, you can see how some of the staff milks the cows. The staff is extremely cordial and even though the government started to cut the electricity a few hours a day, they made sure that we were as comfortable as possible. We’re looking forward to our next visit. This place is perfect if you love nature more than the overcrowded “touristy” resorts.
